Strong protection,October 19, 2009
By thesmithfrom Lake Powell, UT
"Good: Excellent protection. Slip down the side of a mountain, tumbled over oak brush and rocks and the binos stayed secure. I was glad because I paid $500 for my glasses. The No-zip is quite, extra little pockets were nice. Very comfortable to wear. No dust on the binos after a long day on the ATV. Great Warranty. Durable craftsmanship.
Bad: When moving around the base rubs the focus knob, which can be annoying when trying to look at something quickly. The binos are hooked to the pack, so if you were with someone that wanted a peek, you had to take off the whole pack or get a bit too close to the guy. Idea for the bladder is poor, because the pouch is mesh which gets caught on stuff and doesn't protect the bladder. Not to mention 35oz is hard to find a bladder for.
Overall: Best system for your binoculars. It's worth the price."

Badlands bino case,October 18, 2009
By nobuckfever987from Northern British Columbia
"A must have. Bought this in early summer 2009. I wear it on the quad, hiking, and obviously, hunting. the case keeps your binos not only handy, but totally protected from rain or dust from your partners ATV. How often do you end up using your t-shirt to wipe your bino lenses off, risking scratching the glass coatings? Never, if you have this pack, because it comes with a handy, tethered-in lense cloth, and they'll never get dusty anyways!
Lots of room in the pockets for a lense pen, your hunting license, a couple cow calls, and a granola bar or two. You can still wear a belt pack (I will NOT call it a fanny pack) or a backpack if you need to carry more gear, and the straps on the Bino Case will not interfere or cause discomfort.
The case is a little bigger than it needs to be for most binoculars- my 10x42's get swallowed up in there- but it's still not overly bulky. I think Badlands needs to consider this the "Large" size, and put out a medium as well.
Be careful with this when close to game! The magnets are strong and the lid snaps closed pretty loudly if you don't ease it closed...a definite consideration if stand hunting!
I use a compass in the bush, and when holding it out front to use it, the bino case does not interfere with the compass unless they are within 4" or so, but still, something to keep in mind.
The Badlands Binocular Case is definitely a must have to protect your expensive binoculars. I thought it was a little pricey- until I used it! Totally worth the money."
