Instead of digging through your truck for a jack that may or may not be suited for the task of lifting a trailer, just open up the heavy-duty steel compartment of this kit and pull out the foldable four-way lug wrench that fits any lug size and the scissor jack that is capable of lifting up to 1-1/2 tons. Scissor jack has a minimum height of 4" and maximum lift height of 15". The lockable compartment will fit any trailer frame up to 3"W x 5"H and fits on most trailer tongues. The 4" x 4" x 18-1/2" compartment is kept sealed with your choice of a pull pin or a padlock (not included) for extra security. And for trailers that don't have a spare tire, the bracketed version mounts easily to the side runners of your trailer and will accommodate all 4- and 5-lug wheels. Powder coated. "It was very easy to install. Took a little modification to be able to place a lock on it. Also, it is a very tight fit which makes it tricky to remove and put the jack back when you're done with it. But it is very heavy duty and works great."

"A lot of complaints that you can't lock this Chamber. I took a tractor pin and a 1/2 inch drill and made the hole big enough on the bracket so that I could put a lock on the chamber. The pin also was drilled a tad bigger and I was able to put a master lock on it. It looks good on my tracker trailer. The jack and accesseries are tough though to put back in once removed, but it will go, one way out and one way in. This is a heavy duty piece of equipment...Your best bet, if you can, is to weld it on your trailer."

"This tire carrier is heavy duty built. I looked for a long time for something like this, I only found it at Cabelas. Plenty of clearance between tire and boat. Plenty of ground clearance for my 15" tire. (about 10 inches) I agree that it could use a better way to lock the tool compartment. It has a thin pin with a cotter pin closure. The included jack and lug wrench is very good quality."

"This tire bracket went on my trailer real easy . I installed it in about 15 min. the tire tool kit is very universel it coild be used on many different types of trailers. But it needs a better way to lock up the tool box and tire. It does look good on my trailer and I am happy with it."

"Although it doesn't say so in the desctiption, you can't use this product on a trailer with 16" wheels. It may work on a small fishing boat trailer with 12" or maybe 14" wheels (narrow ones), but it wouldn't work on my Prestige trailer with 16" wheels. The tire almost touched the ground when mounted."
