"Most knowledgeable book I've read on Elk hunting, behavior and habitat. Great information on researching a trophy area, draw odds - the 4-year plan. Detailed information on how and when to call Elk and when to spot and stalk. Loaded with information on Elk habitat (terrain characteristics), seasonal ranges and their need for cover, food and water. My thoughts and what I thought I knew about Elk hunting changed dramatically when I read this book! Now I feel confident that I can put a tag on a 300-Class bull this year during September bow season! What a wealth of information! Like I told my buddy, this book is the "Bible" of DIY, Public Land Elk hunting the West! Eastmans' Publishing is the best resource for all DIY, Public Land Western Big Game Hunting! I've also read Public Land Mulies: The Bottom Line, and am currently reading Backcountry Bowhunting: A Guide to the Wild Side."
