"When the sun hits this stuff it looks like a disco ball. It is a plastic type of material that only would really work in the shadows. Although it is groovy, I don't think the birds would like it too much."

"Product works very well to provide camo but, in my opinion, is too shiny. I will try to coat them in muddy water to try to dull them up. I tried flat spray paint, but it didn't work too well. Otherwise, the color and texture works quite nicely for where I plan to hunt. Easy to use."

"I bought two packages for mine and my two hunting partners' laydown blinds. We hunt waterfowl in a grassy field. Through the early goose season until 2/3 through the regular waterfowl season, this grass stays green. The color of the ghillie bundles is a light tan (like dead grass) with some black mixed in. I had to do a little "modification" to the bundles, to get the camo effect I was looking for.
To make a better color match, I spray painted the bundles with Krylon fusion, satin finish, hunter green. Made a perfect color match with where we hunt. The material used is a bit "shiny", but the paint took care of that.
There's supposed to be 32 pieces in each package. One package had 33, the other had 34. The bundles are about 16"" long, and are securely cable-tied at about 4-5" from one end. To make them work better on our blinds, I used more cable-ties at about 4-5" in from the long end, then using scissors, I cut the bundles in half, making two bundles out of each, with each bundle being about 8" long and tied in the middle. I then secured them to the blinds' sewn on "vegetation straps", again using small black cable ties. This made them "stand up" better, giving a more life-like appearance at being real grass.
They came with 32 black plastic clips (exactly like spring-loaded clothes pins) that I didn't use."
