"I have used this product as both a healer and a pre-hunt protector. Difficult to be sure how effective it is since there is no way to determine how different individual dogs respond to being in the field or how fast they would have healed without it. It seems to work best as a pre-hunt preventitive and I use it especially when I am taking a dog to the woods for grouse or woodcock hunting where sharp sticks can cause soreness rapidly. Worth the protection to prevent a laid-up dog."

"This product may be good for conditioning, however if the pad is cut or peeling, there are no miracle cures. The best course is to keep the dog from hunting on it and allowing it to heal on its own."

"This product can be used hand in hand with the EMT Spray and is vital to any Animal First Aid Kit. I do Animal and Rapport rescue and this product is carried with. (Although I can't use it on the raptors.)"

"I was surprised at how runny this product is, it really is made for the working dog that stays outside. The smell is very strong and since it contains raw linseed oil and spirit of turpentine you don't want to use it in your house. I was expecting the product to form a protective seal to keep ice from cutting my dogs foot, but it actually moistens the pad to keep it from cracking. You would need to use the product regularly for it to be preventative. Now that I have the bad out, on the good side, it does moisten the pads and likely keeps them from cracking due to cold"

"My lab tore her paw after it was accidentaly scuffed by my sander which softened the paw. Then after some rough house with another dog, she tore a hole in the paw. It still took some time, but I think it helped."

"well i will start i bought this product last year when i was going to texas.Out in texas it is rough on dogs and there feet bairs are very bad and thorns from trees and sand spurs are very bad so i thought this might help. i take about 13 dogs and every one gets hunted alot and it is very rough on them so i mop there feet up twice a day and it helps there feet out i see there feet heel up twice as fast and there feet are not so sore and do help them stay soft and keeps them from tearing there pads off. i would recommend this product to anybody 5 star rating all the way thanks birddog"
