"Great product, easy to install works great! I bought this for tracking deer, which they say blue light helps illuminate a blood trail. Well I shot a deer this year went to the truck grabbed the light and found that the blue light didn't help at all! Some of the leaves had water drops on them and that showed up along with the blood there was no difference. I had to flip the cap open just so I could tell which was which!"

"I am very satisfied with the lens cover except that it size makes it hard to keep it attached to the flashlight and still be able to use the nylon carrying case with both on the flashlight and cover together."

"I bought the Cabelas Extreme Series LED Flashlight in conjunction with Cabela's Extreme LED Flip-Top Flashlight Lens Filter for tracking blood from wounded game after dark. What I found out was the light was not bright or wide enough for easy tracking. While it has good duration it is not nearly bright enough. After adding the blue lens it was even darker and come to find out it did not illuminate blood but instead made the blood look black. Tracking a black looking blood trail at night is the last thing I was expecting as it only further inhibited my ability to track and retrieve the animal. It was completely worthless for tracking game so I reverted to my hi-beams. Very disappointing and I would not recommend the light or the blue lens for this purpose."

"Use the lens filter in the closed or "down" position all the time, even when not using your flashlight, to protect the lens from dirt and damage. Then when you need a bright clean lens, its there, and when you want the colored light, its there also."
