"I was very optimistic about this Machete before setting out into the woods/swamp of Louisiana. I was very pleased. After a few swings I figured out the sweet swing, I was able to cut thru dead tree limbs 1" in dia. and anything live under that. Palmetto's didnt stand a chance, one swing and they where gone. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was the handle, I believe the grip could have been done better, Its nylon rope wrapped around the steel, mine came loose, but not apart, at the finger grip after an hour of swinging thru weeds & brush. It came out of my hands one time because it was wet, I had to put gloves on and use the finger grip all the time. Overall the blade is the best out there, perfect balance and weight. I will never use another machete."

"Bought this machete today and it works great. I usually read the reviews before I buy anything, but this one didn't have one. I like the fact that this machete is full tang.... Im not a huge fan of the 550 cord handle.... It kept slipping around when swinging. It is pretty sharp when I bought, I was cutting 1" branches with 1 swing. Other than the handle I think this will be great."
