The rectangular, 28-qt. pot is large enough to fry an 18-lb. turkey or as many as four chickens. It has a cover and a drain rim to reduce splashing and a spigot for easy draining. The rectangular 54,000-BTU output cooker has a recessed top for safety. Includes two baskets for cooking two different batches of food at the same time. The unit is also great for simmering large batches of chili, soup or stew. Includes a rack, steam tray and four skewers for steaming; a deep-fry thermometer; and a UL-listed LP hose and regulator with a TYPE ONE connection for use with a standard liquid propane cylinder (not included). Due to new CSA regulations, any turkey fryer manufactured after 7/31/2007 must be equipped with a safety shut-off device to prevent overheating of the oil. This fryer comes with a timer-type shut-off device that is built into the hose and regulator.
