Bell & Carson stock and forend for remington 742,September 11, 2009

"This product fits like a glove, this was my dad's deer rifle, he has since passed on and the old stock and forend were showing the years of deer hunting, this was the only rifle I had ever seen my dad use. Out of the box the Bell & Carson pieces fit perfect. I went to the shooting range shot a box of 180 grain ammo through it, the stock and forend performed flawlessly, the kick pad made a huge difference as well. Also made the old rifle look good. Excellent product!"

"Was very unhappy with this stock and it got sent back. The stock had pits, bumps and rough areas on parts of it. After I had ordered it I read a review, and that person also had to return the stock for the same defects. For almost $200 a higher degree of quality is expected."
