An excellent boot at an excellent price.,

"In recent years, I have found it more difficult to have footwear fit correctly according to the size specified on the box. It was a pleasant surprise to have Cabela's Rimrock GORE-TEX Hiker fit perfectly. The boot arrived in just a few days, well protected. The boot is well made with quality leather, soles, laces and eyes. The workmanship is excellent. The boot is light weight yet seems to give me plenty of support. Although it was slightly stiff, after a few days of wear it broke in like a sofa for my feet. The GORE-TEX has not leaked but I have yet to go beyond water exposure other than a heavy morning dew. Add all this to a boot that also looks good and at the price it is offered, I should have purchased several pairs. Cabela's, thank you for this boot."

Rimrock Gore-Tex Hiker Boots,

"Great boots. I have used them to hike trails in Canyonlands, UT., Canyon De Chelly, trails in the Colorado mountains, climbed Mt. Rosilie and most recently Mt. Taylor, NM. They were very comfortable right out of the box. They are much lighter than my old swiss hiking boots. They are excellent quality and are reasonably priced. I would recommend them."

"Cabela's Rimrock Hikers are the only shoes that can handle the demands of my job. I walk on a car dealership lot all day long through rain, snow, etc. Ordinary shoes wear out in a few months an do not keep my feet dry. Even other "hiking shoes" wear through the soles. Rimrock hikers are light and tough, and the price makes them an unbeatable best buy."

"Best value on full-leather hikers ever! Thanks Cabela's!
I wanted a pair of hiking boots that were all leather and a reasonable price for hiking and early season hunting. I took these boots out on the trail at a state park the weekend of recieving them and put them through mud, rocks and under brush - and my feet were still comfortable and dry. The best feature of these bargain priced boots is that the sole ruber extend about an inch higher over the seam of the boot to make them water proof but still have all the excellent quality of leathers. I treated mine with mink oil and they performed wonderfully. I was a little wary of buying footware over the internet with out trying them on first, but Cabela's customer support staff answered my question about thier return policy on footwear in a timely and accurate manner.
I continue to be impressed by the best value and quality of Cabela's gear."

"This was the third pair of boots ordered . First pair I lost to huricane Katrina, I outgrew the second pair, they still serve my son quite well and if past performance is any indication, I will be using my current pair for many years. Very well made and utterly indestructable. You can not go wrong with a pair of these boots."

"These are my fifth pair of Rimrocks. The only reason i replace them is because i were them every day and were the tread off. These Goretex boots have never leaked, leather never split. Cabelas best buy as far as im concern"

Needs comfort features,

"These shoes are well built and look good, I have no doubt that they will last for a long time. But, they are missing some features that would significantly add to their comfort rating. The height needs either to be an inch lower or an inch+ higher as they top out just above the ankle bone and the top of the boot is not as well padded as Cabelas Backcountry hikers for example. The rimrocks actually bruised my shin/ankle area as this is a flex spot in the boot but lacks the proper padding or width of collar on the boot top. I am sure that if they were built a little taller the padded collar would wear comfortably instead of putting so much pressure on the flex area of your ankle bone."
