Very good item for the price,October 17, 2009

"Hello everyone,
I had received and tryied the item and was impressed of the result for the price. The only thing to watch at delivery is if your button stick when pressed down. If so return it right away. I found the instruction easy to understand and the item easy to use.
The downside of it is the battery section for the speaker. It takes 4 batteries AA and they are very hard to put in and take out. The batteries covers needs a screedriver to remove them which sound unpleasant in the middle of the wood carrying a screw driver to remove the batteries. Instruction said that rechargeable batteries is not recommended to use .
The ltem is not design for exteme cold weather. It does not have the military endurance needed for the harsh fall weather plus there is no case for transport, you will have to make one.
In conclusion ,you can only use this in mild ,dry weather and you will need to carry it in a special case to protect the item on bumpy road in your truck. I hunted deer for 7 years caught 6 deers, one each year. I am a bowhunter. Hope this help new reader for this item. For the price:sound quality:easy to use, it is well price. Make sure when you order that you have the right sound card for what you use."

"The buttons stick the batteries did not drain the yardage was 200yds for remote the sound is loud. But I got a lot of white noise or static in intervals from the rabbit or the coyote calls. I used it twice sent it back today. Disapointed with product. It needs more refinment and testing before coming on the market."

"I just received my Mini Phantom Remote Game Caller. Cons. I installed brand new alkaline batteries (poor design on the speaker end, as the batteries are difficult to install due to the way they are stacked in the compartment). The low battery indicator blinks a low battery alert condition. I installed a second set of batteries, same thing. Volume control does not work and the buttons stick some times.
Pros The sound is great and the overall design is nice and compact.
Because it sounds good, I am going to try another unit. If that one fails, I'll report again.
I can't recommend this because it didn't work correctly out of the box, hence the single star rating."
