The suede/mesh uppers have a waterproof, breathable Omni-Tech™ lining for dry results, no matter how wet the endeavor. Contour Comfort™ 2D EVA footbeds have double layering for extra cushioning. Lightweight Techlite™ molded midsoles have exposed shanks that provide torsional rigidity and support. Nonmarking Omni-Grip™ outsoles provide traction on most any terrain. Gusseted tongues keep debris out. Abrasion-resistant rubberized toe caps. AgION® anti-odor treatment. Imported.

    "I'd give the Columbia hiking shoes a 4+ rating. The break-in period took a little longer than normal. However, shoes have performed very well. Waterproof, light-weight, comfortable, great traction, reasonably priced. Only time will tell if durability holds up. The only negative is that when hiking down a steep incline, my toes jam against the end of the shoes. I can't lace the shoes tight enough to prevent that problem. I didn't have that problem with my previous Columbia (Titanium) hiking shoes, which I had five years. I still rate Columbia Firelane as a very good buy!"
