"Recently I purchased a FishTv Plus Underwater 5 from Cabela's. First of all they were prompt in my delivery of the camera. When I first tried it, it went beyond my expectations of clarity, ease of use, and adjustable functions! When I saw my first fish up close, I wondered why it took me so long to purchase one! I used it in dark cloudy water and with the infrared option, it did suberb in viewing the bottom of the lake. When you go by your favorite fishing spot and see all the lures snagged on the structure on the bottom, and realize that some may be ones I lost over the years, it will amaze you. My only negative comment which is not all that bad, is that with this particular model, the distance of view underwater could be somewhat further than I wished it had. But I am sure the more expensive models make up for that. Besides boat fishing, I intend on using this camera for ice fishing this winter. That is one major reason I purchased one, but I enjoy it just as much in the open water! I recommend this product highly. Great product at an affordable price."

"I also have a problem when the camera works great for a few minute and then I get the horizontal lines on the sreen during ice fishing. I think the camera cannot handle the cold water. If you unplug the camera from the tv, the screen is fine. Overal, when it works, it works great."

"this camera is awesome, i like it better than any other camera ive used. great clearity up until dark, but even then you can make out ur lure. Great product. Batteries dont last long, so i went out and bought a 12 volt lawn mower battery and that lasts me 3 full days, sun up til sun down."

"I am very frustrated with this product in that when I turn it on out on the ice, it works for about five minutes and then horizontal lines appear. I'll shut it off for a few minutes, turn it on again, and it will work for about three minutes, and the lines will reappear. I'm wondering if the cold has something to do with it, although I am in a heated ice tent. When I try it out at home, it works perfectly fine. There have been times when I have been out, and it works good. (2 out of 10 times), but mostly I just put it away in frustration. I couldn't return it, as I lost my receipt. When it does work, it is great. The clarity is awesome, very light in weight, and the size of the viewer is great. I like that I can control the amount of light that the infrared light puts out. For the money, you can't beat this product. Maybe I just have a dud."

"I did not get the camera wet. I need a camera with a video out port. The photo indicates a port, but the 5" model did not have one."
