Dogsledding,March 31, 2008

"I have been an ''Iditarod Fan'' for many years. I attended the Iditarod a few times, have had the thrill of mushing a dog team. I had the oppertunity to meet Libby Riddles, Martin Buser, and ''Jeff King''. Jeff King's book about his life and times really brings home what a exciting life Jeff leads. Great Book, and Poster. Great read or listen . . .,March 31, 2008
By denwaitefrom Berrien Springs, Michigan
"I've read numerous books written by other mushers, and this new book of Jeff King's ranks in the top 5. This reflective biography is not a presentation of King's personal exploits, but portrays the accumulated wisdom of both maturity and experience. As I am a recreational musher, it was both an insightful and inspirational read. His respect for the canine athletes with which he has been blessed to work suggest far more than King's fiercely competitive reputation; it illustrates the humility and awe such dogs create for their owners, handlers, and co-athletes. While King is not our nations greatest literary figure, he certainly is a great story teller. The pleasure of listening to a well produced audio verson of his book, read by King himself, is about as close to sitting around the wood stove in his living room as you can get. A pleasure for anyone who loves mushing or dogs. Listen to it, read it, you won't regret it."

Jeff King's Cold hands, Warm Heart Book,March 2, 2008
By lke1369from Napa Valley, CA
"Incredible book!!!!! Jeff is an excellent writer, story teller and his subtle humor comes through just ever so often. Full of adventure that leaves your palms sweating, bonding with animals, compassion and respect for all living beings. The depth of his heart and full understanding him comes through with his family, the loss of their home to a fire and his decision to get it together and head off for the Yukon Quest! Another HUGE adventure! His intense focus and calulating mind is really shared-but not too much! You will find in reading this that all of a sudden you are belly laughing. Donna Gates is brilliant, extrememly talented, a wonderful mother, wife and soul mate to Jeff. Her art is breathtaking through out the book. Their girls; smart, fun loving, talented and 3 of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen-it's a family we would all like to grow up in or have! GREAT JOB! I look forward to re-reading as the Iditarod is in progress."

Excellent Book!,March 2, 2008
By Pekarfrom Bethel, Alaska
"This is by far one of the Best books I have ever read. Jeff writes with so much emotion and enthusiasm that I felt like I was out on the trail with him. He touches all of the senses with his incredible description and attention to detail! I often found myself laughing out loud and crying at times while reading this wonderful book. I couldn't stand to put this book down and when I had to I couldn't stop talking about it. Now that I have finished I am a bit saddened as I wasn't ready for my adventures to end. And I still can't stop talking about it. Jeff, I loved this book and I eagerly look forward to your next one! Great Job! Awaiting More Adventures in Bethel, Alsaka"

Exellent book,February 27, 2008
By Bvenatorfrom West Hartford, CT
"After meeting Jeff King at the opening of the new Cabela's in East Hartford, CT I ordered this book and anxiously awaited its arrival. Jeff King is a superb story teller. You can actually feel the cold as he tells stories of what it is like on the trail. I could hardly put it down. You could feel his sadness as he related the story of the loss of Old Hickory. It is an absolutely amazing book. I would highly recommend it."
