Great Camo Pattern,November 16, 2009

"I saw this new camo pattern in bow hunting magazines. I was really impressed by how long it took me to see the full outline of the archer in the photo so I was anxious to get a set for this season. I had read the reviews here, as always, and saw the negative ones about how loud it is but I bought it anyway to check it out. I knew I could send it back if not completely satisfied. Ya gotta love Cabelas' return policy! It was really noisy out of the box. BUT being a stubborn guy by nature, I decided to see how it might be after a washing or two. I washed it and a lot of the "crunchieness" was gone. I washed it again a few week later and it was quieter still. Yesterday, I drew on a big white tail buck at 15 yards. He never saw me, never heard me, and never smelled me. He's hanging in my shed waiting to be butchered and taken to the taxidermist.
I plan on using this pattern in gun season and when I go hunting in PA where I hike all day rather than sit a stand.
Very happy I went the distance. The fabric has broken in and its a great pattern and product. 5 Stars"

"i really like the pattern i just wish it was on a more durable piece of clothing. i have ripped the pants and jacket multiple times. a thorn bush is all that is needed to tear a nice size hole. it is fairly warm but i sat in the rain yesterday and was wet in under 30 minutes."

"I think that the jacket is perfect for early bow season. It is light, comfortable, and of course Scent-Lok. I prefer to hunt out of a tree stand and really like this pattern, as it breaks up your outline and keeps you hidden. I would like an inside pocket though, as I am spoiled by past jackets. It does fit well and has a tight sleeve that won't get in the way of a bow string. I would like to see this pattern on a heavier jacket too, as I live in Michigan and do a lot of cold weather hunting."

"I loved the concept of this new camo and I was eager to get it ASAP my issue with this jacket it is I could not wear it at all!, they attached the ScentLok logo inside the jacket were your neck is located with some kind of nylon Stitching that makes it feel like SAND PAPER, maybe some of you do not mind, but the truth for me I was not comfortable at all, my neck got irritated after 30 minutes of wearing it. Before you order see the jacket, yes the fabric is noisy and bulky, it is designed not for hot weather but mid 40's , but it was not comfortable at all. ScentLok works! I have seen it but this Jacket does not represent their product at all."

"I love the pattern and think it's ideal for where I hunt. I won't hunt with the jacket or pance, in fact reutrned the product due to noise. If you like to be close to the action and not be heard, this is NOT the product for you. I know scent lok can be a little noisey, but this was too much for me."

"I checked this out the other day. Excellent look, weight etc. Way too noisy, I was somewhat surprised this had a "crunchy" sound to it when you moved your arms. This is not what you want for those quite moments when a huge 10 point buck is next to you. Reminds me of that rain gear the makes a sound every time you move. This is not for me, it is a shame, because it looks great and it is scent-lok"

"I bought the Vertigo Jacket , Pants & headcover. The camo pattern is excelent and the zippered pockets are a great idea for a hunting outfit. But the fabric in the jacket & pants is way to noisey { makes a loud rustle noise with any movement} , not what you want for close range bowhunting. The head cover is great as it is made from a single layer fabric that is totally quiet. The pants are OK for stand hunting where you don't move your feet much but forget the Jacket because a whitetail will hear you when you are trying to draw your bow. I really love the camo pattern but they really blew it on the fabric choice. Not good for close range bowhunting."
