tough grinder,tender meat,September 17, 2009

"I have a small restaurant where we grind our own beef, lamb, chicken and bison. I have used up one of these and am finding my second near the end of it's life. I bought a commercial grinder for almost three times the price and it didn't work properly from the start. It started smelling like it was burning and ground quite poorly. I returned it and bought another one of these but my second one still hasn't died. I grind between 100 and 150 burgers a week. Powerful and consistent and six months under commercial conditions!"

Rebfurbished ?? Are you sure??,September 14, 2009

"I bought the Cabela's Heavy Duty Meat Grinder because of the Positive reviews. I bought the Refurbished one because I'm CHEAP. I wouldn't have been able to tell it was refurbished if I didn't pay less for it. There is nothing that isn't in perfect condition, and all the attachements are there too. I used it for the first time today, ground about 10 lbs of Venison (plus 2lbs of cheap bacon) that I had just thawed. I just couldn't seem to get the meat in fast enough because the grinder went through it like butter. I immediately put on the sausage attachment and went to it. At first I thought the Attachment was a little small as the Hog casing was a tight fit. I soon discovered that it provided just the right amount of tension that I didn't even need to hold it. Clean up was a breeze, and despite what I read in another review, there is no way for meat to get in the units body. Well, I am thrilled with my new electric grinder, but I still can't bear to throw away my old hand grinder.
Thanks Cabelas"
