"I received the Cajun Injector 30" electric smoker from my kids for my birthday yesterday and it's really a disappointment. It's almost identical to the Masterbuilt model 20070106, so much so I would bet it's made by the same manufacture. The cheap tin shelve brackets are a joke by anyone's standards The Masterbuilt version is built much better in so far as the interior construction goes and construction of the shelves and not to mention the price is the same.. It will be returned and exchanged for the Masterbuilt unit..."

"Based on my first few results, I am pleased. The price is right and it is very simple to use. I was surprised by the amount of wood chips used, as it requires much less than I expected. As close to "set it and forget it" as possible. Had a little issue when I tried a large beef brisquit. The temperature would not get high enough, so I had to finish it in the oven. The ribs were deluxe. worth the small investment."

"Reasonable for price paid. Some minor quality issues: sheet metal shelf ledges bent, smoke box looks big in the picture but is actually quite small, and being thin sheet metal was bent, some type of electrical element protrudes out the bottom. I don't know what it does but following the Cajun theme several of the parts were... you guessed it! Bent.
Has a digital setting but so far I haven't gotten it to properly control the heat. Set it for 225, and it reaches temp within 10 minutes. Problem is it keeps right on climbing until it hits around 260. I verified this with multiple thermometers. So I guess I will have to figure out what to set it at to get 225.
Thought the construction of the outer shell was better than any other brand I looked at. Insulation is good, very little heat felt outside of the unit. Nice racks, good size.
Overall worth the price. To get a better quality smoker I think you are going to have to jump up to the 400-500 dollar range."
