slack line in contact with the line roller to further reduce the chance of tangles and line cuts. Lightweight graphite
frame, sideplate and rotor. Cold-forged aluminum spool.

"I took this rod and reel combo out for a sunday afternoon at the pond, it did not disappoint, smooth retreive, cast with ease and a good distance, rod was very good as well, it had good backbone during the hookset on largemouths, I was able to feel the lights bites by crappie, all in all a great combo, at a unbelievable price, good job!! cabelas"

"I really like this combo. For the money this is a sweet set up for tossing light spoons spinners such as roostertails and double oughts.
This is a full 6 foot one piece and transportation can be awkward but the action is great."

"I've taken this reel out four times and while the price was good, it isn't as smooth as the fish eagle I got earlier. I haven't had any major problems, but while setting the bail it seems to stick a little. Again, not a major concern, but the Fish Eagle for the price is a better reel for me."

"I bought this rod for my wife to fish with on the occasion she should accompany me out on the boat. She loves it! Ihave fished with it myself a few times and have been shocked by it. I have landed a few good 20" Specks on it as well as a 26" Redfish......handled them nicely. This is a good combo."

"I would give it a five stars, but sometimes the reel gets stuck, and it is hard to get the bail to flip over. Everthing else is perfect. I use the 6 ft 6 pole as my crappie pole. I used the heck out of this combo, and for the most part, it worked well."
