Good Enough,
October 26, 2009

"Probably not the BEST broadhead for the money, but it did its job. I hit the center of the ribs on a quartering away shot and the arrow came out very near the off shoulder. The arrow fell out 10 yards later and only bits of blood was found. However, half-way to where the buck was laying dead, the blood trail came alive and was very obvious. The buck ran a total of 65 yards, which isn't terrible. For a 30 yard double lung shot, I think the head did all right. Had no issues with the screws coming loose on the blades, but I wish the big red (or black, which I have) part was more tapered on the leading edge. I think that would aid in a little better penetration. Flew great, my Easton Tracer nock looked like a laser. My main gripe is that the spring in the head rattles around and makes a buzzing noise if you bounce your arrow on the heel of your hand. Remember, it's shot placement, any broadhead will let you down on a bad shot. Good hunting and God Bless."

"Shot a doe with these at 25yds they really messed it up, the deer didn't go more than 40yds and then pilled into a tree, they fly good and make a big hole. The blades are still straight and sharp, I have shot the competitors mechanical broadheads in my opinon they can keep them!"

"The design of these broadheads is genius they WILL cut open or closed. All I have to say is if you know your stuff about archery you will know this is a top of the line product that works. This will fly straight like field points even in my 337fps chronographed bow IF your arrows are a paper tune match for your bow. And you will get a pass through shot on all 3 of your doe if you place the shot right. Dont listen to the sceptics and nay sayers look at the facts and try one for your self and if your bow AND arrows are tuned right and your shot placement is good you will be happy. Remember no broadhead will kill deer automatic you still have to do your part"

nice concept, bad engineering,
October 1, 2009

"Ive shot 3 doe at 10 yards with these broadhead and havent been impressed! I am an avid archer and recently on a population control hunt I had an opportunity to shoot 3 doe in a day with this broadhead. 2 out of three of them had the arrow penetrate very shallow into the deer when they were broadside. When I recovered the deer 300 yards later due to only penetrating deep enough to take out a a single lung, i wasnt happy. The problem lies in the rapidly expanding angle of the blades. The blade comes to a steep angle too fast and acts as a parachute to the penetration. The blades were also mangled rendering them unusable. Weak, nice concept poor design. Dont buy them. Oh the third deer dropped instantly, due to a poor shot and alot of luck on my part (spine). If you are a suburban hunter 300 yards is not only distance but how many "yards" a deer may run through.......not good"

Like what I see...,

By ARMILLER

"Just purchased the 100 grain NAP Blood runner broadheads... and I like what I have seen. Shot into block targets as well as 3D targets... arrow flight identical to my field points... Shot one broadhead roughly 10 times so far with NO DAMAGE or ISSUES. Spring loaded mechanism works extremely well.... any complainers just remember it is all about your first shot.... even if the boradhead would fail after multiple shots, who cares? They fly true to field tips so use your field tips and put these broadheads away until in the field.... Make that shot count!"

"Used this broadhead this morning (09-15-09) and shot a big 8 pointer. The broadhead flew true and left a huge hole...both entering and exiting. The buck only made it about 60 yards before piling up and the blood trail was massive."

"These heads do not fly like a feild point at all. I shoot a bow that is 320fps and they wind plane terrible. The last time i shot i watched the arrow drift off and hit a tree. One blade snaped off and while pulling it out the body also snapped. By rages!! They are extremely accurate!"

"i shot spitfires ever since i started bowhunting in 1997 love them. but this year i will be using bloodrunners they shoot better than the spitfire's and i love the concept the if they don't open which i doubt that will happen you get a 1 inch cutting diam you won't get that with the RAGE."

Well They Got The "Run" Part Right...Run Away!,
August 10, 2009
By Trouthunters
from Texas

"What a piece of junk this broadhead is. Three shots into a Block target and a screw that holds one of the cutting blades fell out. I should have known better than to buy a broadhead that depends on screws to hold the blades in place.
Broadhead #2 after 2 shots lost a screw and this was after I checked them with a teeny tiny screw driver before practice. But wait there's more. Upon falling out in flight the blade reversed and when it hit the target the broadhead itself broke where a screw goes through the pretty red aluminum head.
It's going on two weeks and I've not gotten a reply from NAP to my questions of if they would replace the first broadhead with the lost screw and that's okay because I don't want anymore of these. The only reason it's getting 1 star is because this system requires it.
I'll stick with broadheads that actually hold together in flight and during impact.

Bloodrunner,
July 16, 2009
By OnePin

"I purchased a couple packs of Bloodrunners and haven't been this impressed with a new broadhead in years. I try to buy a pack or two of every new head that comes out each year and give them a good testing. I do testing using realistic hunting type scenerios. I go to the butcher and get a hog shoulder blade, set it in ballistic gel, then set a thick peace of latigo leather in front and shoot thru it. The bloodrunner made a huge hole. Better then anything I've tested in years. Some people think shooting plywood and steel barreels is testing. I don't. I don't shoot steel barrels out in the wild.
The Bloodrunner is one of the most accurate heads I have tested as well. I've shot them out to 80 yrds and they group extremely well and right with my field points. I cann't wait to but one thru a deer and elk this fall."
