One Very Impressive Bed,September 1, 2009
By Meleakefrom Southern California
"My husband and I bought the Ultimate Comfort Bed in the queen size a few years ago to go camping. It went way beyond our expectations in comfort to the point that we've replaced our regular matress at home with this one. (Two of the 36" wide beds side by side equals a king size bed. Buy two twin size sheets and cover each side separately.) BEEN USING IT DAILY NOW FOR 4 YEARS. It is still in perfect condition. No leaks causing air loss and the soft flocked PVC top keeps the quilted bed protector in place beautifully. This is one tough bed. I highly recommend it.
Mollie"

airbed,July 29, 2009
By satisfied7
"A friend of mine told me of these air beds because I was complaining of the ones I bought in stores.(Always have leaks) We had to fill them up every day. I purchased these ones and they inflate themselves and then you can add too them if you want. I have used mine for 2 weeks and have not had to add air at all. I have not yet deflated it because it is so comfortable I am now using it as my bed at home. I don't think I will ever buy a bed when I have this."

great night sleep,October 31, 2008

"This bed is very comfortable. I would recommend it although one of the main complaints I had was the deflating of the bed. That takes up so much energy, you're exhausted by the time you finish."

Perfect Fit,October 21, 2008
By Whitew01ffrom Valdez, Alaska
"I got the queen size air matress to use inside of a double cot tent, and it fit perfectly. Since I was looking for a particular size and wanted something that was not too thick this turned out to be just the ticket. I have also used this matress when I have been a guest on someones floor and been quite happy with the results, but my lady was simply satisfied, not impressed. If you are looking for a true matress equivalent to use on hard surfaces this may not be your best option, but as long as you are on plush carpet you should be okay. I can not say enough, what a perfect fit this is for the cot tent, especially the double since there is this obnoxious joint right in the middle that the matress helps make reasonable to deal with. The main reason I added this to the cot tent was for insulation from the cold that lingures below it, and thus if you have a cot tent and use it by itself, you will understand what a bonus this matress can provide. The compaction isn't bad either and I don't know what I would do without the nice stuff sack that Cabela's included. It is not all that self inflating but with a little wind it can be shear luxury."

Nice but won't last,October 14, 2008
By WoodyBoyfrom Lander, WY
"The Ultimate Comfort bed is very comfortable, however this product will not last much longer that a few outings. We have bought several over the years. Fortunately, they are guaranteed by Cabelas's return policy. And that's exactly what we have been doing, so we are only out the shipping return cost when and if that happens. If Cabela's did not have this policy then I would not recommend the product, but not because it is not comfortable because it IS very comfortable, but seems to separate from the lining creating big bulges in the mattress eventually leaking."
"CONS: Bed labeled 'Queen Size' was smaller than correct dimensions. No practical way to attach air pump to fully inflate bed. After pushing flap valve in, no practical way to retreive flap to original position. Instructions recommend leaving bed unrolled during storage. This is not practical for transporting for camp trips. Bed was VERY difficult to deflate and re roll. Bed was VERY difficult returning to carry bag. I will return this purchase for reimbursement. PRO: Once bed was inflated completely; bed was comfortable for sleeping. Bed was used on an above ground wood camp bed."

Patience Leads to Comfort,August 2, 2008
By BigMan61from Berea, OH
"Just out of the box, I was disappointed that this comfort bed would not readily inflate to its alleged 4-inch height. I slept on it the first night and was moderately happy but actually disappointed. Plus, the sheet of directions contains extremely brief information with no real tips on how to handle the product in the long term. BUT, after leaving the bed unrolled and on the floor for about three weeks, it had in fact self-inflated to a 4-inch loft and is very flexible. I slept on it again, and wow, what a difference. Out of the box, this bed is two stars at best - but with some patiecne, it is easily a four-star quality. Now I'm glad I got it."

WRONG SIZE,July 28, 2008
By foxriverbullrushfrom Fox River, WI
"These bed sizes are falsely labled. The bed Cabelas claims to be a queen is the size of a standard full, the full is the size of a standard twin. DO NOT BUY THE QUEEN AND EXPECT A QUEEN SIZE BED.
HOWEVER, this bed is the most comfortable portable bed I have ever slept on. I did not have a problem getting the bed back in the bag like everyone else. I have only used once so far so hopefully it will hold up.
I did use a air pump to fill the bed. The bed does not fill full enough for a big guy like me (260 pounds) on its own."

This baby is COMFY,June 25, 2008
By Julesssfrom Richmond, VA
"I did not experience the same delamination problems others did, and the nice thing about Cabela's is the 100% satisfaction guarantee and lifetime warranty that comes with the product. If it fails, send it back! I also had no problems getting it back in the stuff sack."

Comfort Bed,June 17, 2008
By SyncroSteve
"We have a VW camper van and wanted additional padding for the bed. The Cabela's bed is certainly comfortable but quite bulky. It is extremely hard to roll up and get back in the stuff sack. I will probably only use it when my wife is along."

Good Nights Rest,June 1, 2008
By JHardenfrom San Antonio, Texas
"After camping twice with air mattresses that developed leaks, I decided to spend some money for something that would last a little longer and be more comfortable with my back. I purchased the queen size and was very pleased. I allowed the bed about 30 minutes to self inflate and then aired it up a little more to remove the fold wrinkles. The bed felt about the same as my mattress at home. My only commment is the same as some others, it would have been nice to have a larger storage bag to put the bed into and then compress down some more. One of the two beds fits into the bag easily, the other one usually has to be rolled up and then unrolled and re-rolled tighter to get it into the bag. I plan on buying a smaller pad when camping with my son and cubscouts so that I can carry it in on my back. I plan on using these beds for guests in the future rather than let them sleep on the couch."

De-laminated,May 22, 2008
By Undergroundadventurer
"I have to admit it is the most comfortable pad I've ever owned. The outer shell came de-laminated from the foam just hours after laid it out in my tent.It was the 1st time I attempted to use it.I figure that the inside of my tent got very hot causing the glue to not adhere to the foam.I had no other choice but to sleep on it anyways.Still very comfortable but will be sending back. What a shame because I really liked this pad. There was another review that said this happened w/the 1 they purchased.Went ahead and bought it anyways in hope they had fixed this problem.Trust the reviews people"

Supremely comfortable,February 12, 2008
By GearGuyfrom OC, CA
"I bought the twin size several years ago and have used it many times. It is the best mattress I have found, and I have bought/used more than ten pads over the years, including top of the line thermarest pads, air mattresses, etc. It is a very comfortable and warm pad. It easily rolls up and fits in the compression-style sack. The only "negative" thing I can say about it is that after storing it in the stuff sack, it tends to slightly inflate even with the valves closed and is a little difficult to remove from the stuff sack. Overall, though, and excellent and comfortable pad."

Bed Won't Auto-Inflate and Delaminates,December 27, 2007
By hammerhedfrom Tucson, AZ
"On my quest for the perfect car/tent camping bed I bought this product (full size). After waiting over an hour for the bed to auto-inflate (it didn't) I was forced to blow air into it. Once inflated the bed felt comfortable and as good as any sleeping pad I've ever used. Within 15 minutes after some tossing and turning the cover began delaminating from the foam, causing large bubbles. This delamination process continued every time I put pressure, or laid, on the bed. This product needs significant improvements to justify its price. I will be returning it and continue on my quest."

better than traditional airmattress,November 5, 2007
By jeanerfrom blairsville georgia
"The Cabela's Ultimate Comfort Bed is much better than any airmattress we have ever owned. No more sloshing back and forth when someone tries to get out of bed. My only complaint is though it says it is queen it is really the size of a full bed. Still it made for a great camping weekend. We have already recommended this to our tent camping buddies. Thanks Gloria"
