Experience faster arrow speeds, flatter trajectories and zero vane damage from an innovative new total-arrow-capture rest that is a breakthrough in archery technology. Unlike drop-away rests, Tri-Van Vanishing Rest secures your arrow regardless of bow angle. It maintains that control of the arrow silently through the length of your draw. Then, upon release, the three supporting arms instantly retract into the housing of the rest, giving your arrow a clear, frictionless path of flight. This absence of friction means greater velocity – measured in tests to be as much as 12 fps over other bristle-type capture rests. Increased speed means flatter arrow trajectory and more kinetic energy delivered to the target. And the Tri-Van Vanishing Rest won't damage vanes or fletching. It works equally well with carbon- and aluminum-shaft arrows. Fits right- or left-hand bows.

Loosens up after about 50shots, November 8, 2009
    By proswoop from alabama

"This is one of the few rests that I was able to tune to my bow which is pretty much a speed bow. I was very happy at how it shoots and operates at first but I have realised that the diameter of the rest in the 'cocked' position (ie how tight your arrow is captured) starts to increase or loosen after about 50shots. I am currently looking for another rest."

DO NOT BUY, October 19, 2009
    By jpd1010 from Lafayette, LA

"I read all the reviews and figured I would give it a try and this rest has been a NIGHTMARE!!! The adjustment for the arrow size doesn't stay set and next thing you know your flinging arrows all over the place. They have a great idea and concept just needs alot of perfecting!!! I could keep it and bring 2 precision screwdrivers with me everytime I go hunting but who wants to do that??????? Going back to my previous rest."

Works OK for me, September 11, 2009
    By OleGrizz from Southern Ohio

"Put this rest on my Mathews Conquest3, with a 70lb cam and using mechanical release with a D-loop. Also I shoot aluminum arrows with real feathers, so fleatch damage is important to me. I found that the installation was not that bad. Mine did not have a clamp to attach to downard cam cable. I did the serving and it was easy and have not had one problem. If shooting D-loop it is easy to adjust upward and downward center by moving it "slightly" , but could see how if using a noc it could could take some extra plaining to adjust with first setup. Have shot about 30 some arrows a day for a week now and am very satisfied with operation. The trigger speed can be adjusted if you have a faster bow. Take a little flour or baby powder and rub on the arrow. When you shoot you can get a idea of how fast it is letting go, and then can adjust "carefully" your trigger. Most bows, I do not think will need adjustment. When you adjust for your arrow diameter make sure the jaws just barely touch the arrow shaft for better performance of rest and arrow. I have seen review's complaining about the technology in the arrow rest. I am old and remember people complaining about compound bows also. Time moves forward. I have not used it in bitter cold yet, but seems to work without problems. No fletch problems. Rest seem not to be having any mechanical issues. I have found it to be a quiet rest also. Getting good patterns. What more could you ask, someone to walk the arrow down and stick it in the target :-)"

    rest issues, August 26, 2009
    By mwrarrow from tx

"This rest has potential however, the bristles are noisy when dragging an arrow across them, and the frame clearance using high crown fletchings is very tight and will cause contact and poor arrow flight. Micro adjustments would be a nice add, if clearance and noise issues were corrected."

    By MadElkHunter from Veneta, Oregon

"Great Idea, Very easy to set up, When I first got the rest I shot about 50 arrows through it and then the rest started to loosen up so the arrow was getting sloppy in the brushes, I then tightend it up. Did this 3 more times before sending it back. I think I will try a QAD ultra Pro."

Good idea but needs work, August 7, 2009
    By Oldvarmint from West Texas

"The concept is great, but the rest has some issues. I mounted this rest on a Mathews Reezin 6.5 with a 30 inch draw set at 70 pounds. It does drop away consistently when properly adjusted and tuned, however it is slower to drop than regular drop away rests. I could find residue from my vanes on the springs of the rest. The rest may work better on bows with a little less speed, and it might be possible to adjust the spring tension for arrow speed. The rest also comes with a lot of vibration and noise, possibly due to the springs and other moving parts. When I took the tri-van rest off and shot the bow with a whisker biscuit and then a QAD rest, the noise and vibration were gone. As far as speed, I was able to get 321 feet per second through my chronograph with the tri-van rest and I also got 321 feet per second with the whisker biscuit. I tried the tri-van to hopefully get 2 or 3 feet per second back and mainly to stop the vane damage caused by the whisker biscuit. The noise and vibration are not worth having to install new vanes on my practice arrows every so often, so I am going back to the biscuit or the QAD. If improvements are made by the manufacturer or you want to re-engineer this rest yourself, I would recommend it."

    Tri-Van™ Vanishing Rest, July 29, 2009
    By TBrownelkhuntr from mansfield, ohio

"I like this rest, easy to install and set up. I do wish it had an up and down adjustment instead of rotating the bracket attached to the riser. Mine works just like the company says it would, have not chronographed to see if I got an increase in arrow speed yet, but I am expecting to find that I did. People may worry about the string "catching on something" but I think there is bigger chance of catching peep site tubing before the string on this rest."

"good rest had it tuned with in a half hour. easy adjustability. fits my ics beman aroows securely. just make sure you follow the directions for set up. couple of things that I added was some felt to the outside so the arrow wouldn't make a cling when loading and a piece over the springs to keep debri out."

    not dependable, June 30, 2009
    By chan81074

"the idea is great but its a little different than other fall away rests. you have to cock the arrow into place before each shot and the rest will not drop away every time which make a horribly loud slapping sound when the arrow passes thru the rest."

    Great Rest, June 18, 2009
    By Moose505 from Taxachusetts

"I have been waiting for this Tri Van to finally get here!! I'm shooting a Bow Tech w/Axis arrows by Easton. The only problem I have with this rest is that the arms don't get close enough to properly hold a carbon (thin) arrow like the Axis. The only way to fix this problem is by adding a small piece of mole skin or felt over the bottom brush to make up the slack. You can shoot this arrow with this rest all day without this added piece, but don't expect it to be consistant. If a have a larger shaft on your arrow...no problems at all. I will say, that the rest works perfectly, and I love it now that I've fixed it."

    best ever, June 3, 2009
    By FIZHING from OWATONNA MN

"I just got the new tri van today. I set it up and tuned it in about an hour. This rest is completly adjustable from trigger sesitivity to size of arrow shaft. very solid built. I added a little mole skin to perfect it but if you are a wb shooter or drop away you will have no problem going to this. It is the best rest ever."
