"I have used the 2/3 oz spoons for salmon and steelhead. The spoon design itself is great and works the same as a little cleo which is much more expensive, however the split rings used on this spoon to attach the hook are of poor quality/thin wire. I can literally pull the split ring apart by grabbing the hook and the spoon and pulling. Because I fish for larger fish I have replaced both the front and back split rings with heavier gauge split rings for fear of losing a large fish if the original split rings should fail. It would be great if cabelas would improve the quality of the split ring and offer more color variety similar to little cleo."

"I recently purchased several colors and weights of these spoons. I was camping in the backcountry of the Grand Mesa by a small lake filled with brook trout. This spoon out performed all other methods , the fish just smacked them!, very good lure, well made."
