OK Pants,November 5, 2009
By Trouserfrom Tri-cities, Wa.
"These pants are pretty nice for the pockets and the added knee protection.. If I was to reorder, I would get a size longer.. The Knee pads are a nice option, but the pads are removable by the top of the knee going downward.. Great place for rocks and sticks to get between the pad and your knee itself. Eventhough theres two layers it still hurts.. Overall there not bad.."

Excelent Pants!,October 28, 2009
By carloshntfrom Brasilia, Brazil
"These pants are awesome! They really are everything that you hope for on a good pair of pants. The only downside is the fact that Cabela's did not manufacture a matching jacket to go with the pants."

Mossy Oak New Break-Up ACU Rip-Stop Pants,June 25, 2009
By rezavoirdogfrom Lame Deer, MT
"Great material! These pants are just a little thicker than my Military-Issued BDU's, and seem a lot more durable and comfortable. I'm glad that I bought these and look forward to using them during Late Summer/Early Fall Archery Season for hunting Pronghorn to Elk. I only wish that Cabela's would make a lightweight hooded jacket out of the same material/camo patterns. That would be the perfect combination for Late Summer/Early Fall, they would be breathable, wick moisture, withstand light winds, functional for layering base and mid layers, and stand up to years of hunting!"

Great Pants for the Money,June 20, 2009
By Negamaneefrom Tempe, AZ
"MATERIAL/CONSTRUCTION: These pants are made with a rip-stop type fabric, similar to the surplus BDUs I own (although the Cabela’s ACU fabric seems a little thicker, and that’s a good thing).
The nylon/cotton weave (56% nylon, 44% cotton) was tight enough to help keep the thorns at bay but there was also enough cotton to keep it quiet. I also thought the seams were sewn securely, double stitched and strong.
DESIGN: I really liked the 8 pockets and I utilized the calf pockets (on the side of the pants, just below the knee) to hold my wallet and cell phone. These small pockets kept the items secure and out of the way. The calf pockets and side cargo pockets close with Velcro which I thought would be a draw back but I ended up liking them. I thought they’d be too loud but since I don’t plan on digging through my pants pockets while I’m stalking a buck, I don’t think it will matter.
Although I think the knee pad idea is great, the negative is the open cell, cloth stitched knee pad. Although probably better than nothing, if they were serious about providing a knee pad, they’d put a closed cell foam insert instead of the one it comes with. I just took out the stock knee pads and will look for thin closed cell foam to replace them. I give Cabela’s points for creativity for at least trying something new though.
Over all, I think these are a great pair of pants that exceeded my expectations. They are sturdy and stood up well to the thorns we encounter here in the West. The 8 pockets were also very utilitarian. I am very glad I bought them and, for the price, I think they represent a great value. After one outing I knew they will be my go-to back country pants."
