Stealth Cam Sniper IR,November 3, 2009
By Coop1230from Frisco, TX
"This camera has a some what slow trigger (about 3.5 secs on mine) or I would give it 5 stars. Pictures are very clear except if the subject is moving on the IR pics it may be a little blurry. Flash IR range is very good I can make out antlers out to 50'. For feeders or scapes something that is going to hold the animal still for a few seconds its great. I have mine on a feeder with a 2 min delay and it took 867 pics in two weeks and battery was still showing full. For trails I found you need to have it about 20' away and it will get the animal every time at 10' rarely lots of rumps. Simple to setup!"

3 STARS,September 10, 2009
By jack101from hball@orenco.com OREGON
"The camera takes very good pictures and if the instructions were improved I would recommend it to everyone. My neighbor has one and also had problems with the instructions. By trial and error we were able to get the camera to work but have not been able to set time and date. Is there supplemental instructions available? A video would be perfect."

Stealth Cam Sniper IR,September 10, 2009
By buggytopfrom Loretto Ky
"Very disappointed! If I set the trigger for 5 minute intervals between pictures it would take a picture every 5 minutes no matter what. It finally just QUIT taking pictures altogether! I emailed Stealth Cam with no response and everytime I call I am put on hold for long periods of time with no response. Very disappointed!!!"

"Found it easy to set up. and the pic. turnout fine. have to set it up so the subject comes in on a angle to get the best pics. Take to lond to snap the first pic. if the subject is walking throw the fieled of view. Strap is hard to do up."

PeekABoo I See You,June 24, 2009
By PondWatcherfrom Sumner, WA
"I recently purchased the stealth cam sniper to keep an eye on my koi pond. I've had something disturbing the netting and one of my fish vanished. I've used both the photo and video modes. Unfortunately, the only thing I've caught so far is my wife feeding the fish. I've discovered that it takes about 5 seconds before the camera wakes up and starts taking pictures/video. Often time the subject walked out of the field of view before the pictures could be taken and I ended up with a bunch of very nice pictures of my pond, but not of whatever triggered the picture. I switched to video mode with more success because the subject frequently wanders back into view. I still haven't caught whatever's been messing with the pond, but I'm hopeful it's just a matter of time. Using the camera is easy and the pictures, both day and night are great. I've had the thing running 24x7 for 3 weeks on the same batteries taking 90 second videos when triggered. I've found I can get 20 90 second videos on a 1 gb SD card which seems plenty for my purposes. The system can handle a bigger card, but my laptop can't. Watching the videos/pictures on my laptop with its built in SD card slot is a breeze.
Overall I really like this camera."

very good,June 16, 2009
By mondfrom oregon
"This works like my other stealth cam's, maybe a little slow on the trigger but for the money it's pretty good. The still pictures are very very sharp, the video is about the same quality as cell phone video, so if you need to see something in detail do not use video. I thought IR cameras were not visable to humans, this is not true, the flash portion visibly glows red. Navigating thru the menu is a little confusing, but have always have been able to figure it out without getting out the instructions. Overall I am very satisfied"

Stealth Sniper Camera,May 9, 2009
By Reggfrom Ettrick, WI
"I just purchased the new Stealth Sniper. It takes very good pictures just like the Prowler I have and the video's are as equal. The Audio is a great feature on the video mode. On the negitive side, the motion sensor is a bit slow and should be faster and the mounting strap is not a very good mounting system. Both the Prowler and Sniper have the same mounting strap and if it at least had a snap buckle on the back, it would be a great improvement. Overall, the camera is good, just a few improvements needed."
