Using the quad 400,September 6, 2009
By openchestmanfrom Green Bay Wisconsin
"When using the quad 400, a piece of the limb, broke off. When cocking using the hand crank, the safety, and top pin on the boldt holder broke off. I bought a new boldt chamber and the top boldt holder protection is wearing off again. Although affective, using the hand crank is somewhat cumberson. Considering you have to have something to set the crossbow on when loading."

A few issues.,August 27, 2009
By Observedfrom NW PA
"1. The handle is very short and stubby. My mother (age 65) was having a lot of trouble using it. I made and attached a longer handle and now she can crank it with ease.
2. The string of the cocking device crosses over itself and under the tension of cocking makes a squealing noise and abrades itself. It was assembled wrong at the factory. I had to take it apart and affix the string the right way.
3. The arm of the crank is made out of aluminum and I've found that it can be bent out of shape under the pressure of aggresive cranking.
Like most pieces of gear, this crank took some fine tuning and modification to work perfectly. I'm happy with it now."

"had to drill holes in my stock a little bigger to get the crank cocking device to fit. works good though. If I ever get where I can cock crossbow without it I will, its time consuming but dependable."
