Bushnell Trophy Cam,November 15, 2009
By bowonlyherefrom Oly, WA.
"This camera does all it says. Takes great pic's day and night. Super fast trigger speed, no noise and the size is very descrete. I have already bought a second one. The only change would be the short time to get out of the way after arming. By the time you close, secure latches, wrap cable around the tree and secure pad lock, you are the first three pic's."

Bushnell Trophy Cam IR,October 26, 2009
By NJHarryfrom NJ
"This is my first trail cam. It was easy to set up and it takes great pics. I like the fact that it is small and easily concealed. I only wish it had a "bear proof" box for protection. If you're thinking about buying an extra memory card it will only handle up to a 2GB one. I didn't find this out until I got it home and opened up the paper work!"

Bushnell Trophy cam IR,October 25, 2009
By huntinginvtfrom Vermont
"Overall I am very pleased with this camera. Very good color pics and video during the day and the b/w pics and video at night were better than I anticipated. Very good battery life. I have had no difficulties with the memory cards that others have mentioned (mine came with 1G). Easy to set up. Cons: I would like to see an external on/off switch and a way to lock the camera with out having to buy an additonal bear safe box."

Bushnell Trophy 5.0 IR Awesome Trailcam!,October 20, 2009
By Havoctec69from Greenville,OH
"I bought the cam and have had it out for 6 weeks now, and the battery life is still excellent!Really like the fact it uses the small AA batteries!I have been really pleased with the quality of the photos, excellent color daytime and good b/w photos at night.I have mine set to take 3 pics at every trigger, if there is nothing in the first pic then there usually is in the second and third. This camera has outperformed my expectations.I bought the camo camera, only the front half of camera is in camo it would be nice if they camoed the entire thing, also it would be a plus if they would give a little better mounting strap and if it were camo too,but these two things are really minor.Mine came with a 1GB SD card instead of the 512, I have not had any problems with it like people have mentioned in earlier reviews with the 512. This is my first trail cam and I did alot of research and reading reviews on various ones. In its price range I had my choices narrowed down to either a cuddeback or the bushnell. I am really glad I went with the bushnell and I am looking forward to purchasing another one!"

Do Not Bother,October 11, 2009
By DomAfrom New Jersey
"Pro's: Great concept, Runs on affordable AA batteries. Decent picture quality.
Cons: Ordered 2 sets of these cameras, only one worked out of the first set ordered. sent them back to cabelas thinking another set was in my best interest. 2nd set arrived same thing happened, only one worked. Units froze up or lcd did not work, constrction of this unit was very cheap and delicate. Pictures within 15 to 20 feet were ok... past that very narrow and picture quality was not there. The SD card that come with it should be thrown away(Garbage) and get Sandisk cards or you will have alot of aggrevation, Thanks to Cabelas OUTSTANDING customer service, for being awesome and understanding and exchanged them. I hate to say this but, I expected alot better quality from Bushnell, Save youself the time and hassle and look at something else. I am trying the leaf river cams and am expecting way better results. Anything under 200.00 is going to be exactly what the price say's Cheap!!! You get what you pay for. Good luck"

Couldn't be happier!,October 6, 2009
By BambiLover
"Couldn't be happier! I've been using this camera for 2 months. The pictures are great! The day time pictures are very good quality. The night pictures can be blurred at times but overall this tiny camera gets the job done. This camera was well worth the money. I was concerned from reading other reviews of people stating they had problems with the memory cards working. It came with a SD card and I purchased a second card to switch them out and keep the camera running while checking photos. Both SD cards worked in the camera with no problems. The batteries are still holding strong at 2 months of taking approximately 200 pictures a day. I would definately recommend this camera."

Great Trail Camera,September 30, 2009
By Admiral01from Indiana
"The Bushnell Trophy Cam is my first trail camera. I bought it because of the advertised battery type and life, size, price, IR flash range, and quick response.
I have taken >1200 pics on the same set of alkaline batteries over the period of 3 weeks, I am happy with the battery life so far.
I have shown it to a couple of friends and their first comment is about how small it is compared to theirs.
I have only used it for 3M still pics and this resolution seems good enough to identify game within 100 feet in the daytime and 50 feet at night.
One complaint I have is the exposure is not consistent. Sometimes during dawn and dusk transitions exposures are too bright and the picture is almost washed out. At night it appears the flash is not synched correctly or the flash exposure is not right which sometimes results in dark exposures. However most day and night exposures are just like I would expect and as advertised.
The sensing field of view is slightly larger than the camera's and some pics result in no subject in the pic. This is also partly due to the very quick response of this camera. I set the camera on three consecutive pics with a 1 min delay between each set. This usually allows slow subjects to move into the camera's field of view the 2nd or 3rd shot. It takes three consecutive shots in <5 seconds.
Motion sensing has three levels of sensitivity and on its highest level it picks up small game like squirrels.
I thought I could use a microSD in an SD adaptor but the camera would not powerup properly. I did purchase another standard SD 2M card and it works fine. I swap a fresh SD card into the camera so I can bring the used one back to the house for viewing. I can also view the pictures in the field with my point and shoot camera but prefer to swap cards as mentioned above. Beware viewing may not work with all point and shoot camera types.
I am very happy with this trail cam, have recommended it to friends, and may even purchase another."

Excellent cam for the money!,September 21, 2009
By BWetzfrom Halifax, PA
"Just recieved this camera today after being on backorder for 2 weeks. Got it right out of the package and did some test pics in the backyard. I ran past the cam pretty fast at about 20ft and it triggered very fast! I was perfectly in the middle of the picture and I must say I was very impressed! Has much better trigger speed than my I40!! Pictures are very clear and crisp. Setup is a breeze, not really much to it at all. I got a 1gb card and not the 512 like stated on the product on here. I heard to only use the Sandisk cards so thats what I will be using. Overall seems like a great camera which is why I gave it 5 stars. I can deff see myself buying another one of these very soon!"

Greatest smallest camera,September 21, 2009
By derloverfrom Illinois
"Well, so far so good. I have had it out for a couple weeks and it takes some great video. I love you can set it to take whatever amount of minutes of video you want. I do wish though (and maybe you can, but I haven't figured it out yet) be able to take both video and pictures (like the Moultrie do). This thing is tiny, it is very easy to set up (don't need directions) and the fact it takes the AA batteries is awesome! I run 7 trail cameras and this one so far I have a feeling is going to be my favorite trail camera!"

Works great,September 19, 2009
By firebird33from Ft. Rucker, Alabama
"I bought this camera about 2 months ago and have had it in the woods since day 2. The camera works great and the battery life is perfect. I read some of the reviews about the sd card issues and decided that I would just format the sd card each time I put it back in the camera ( it only takes a few button pushes to access the format screen on the camera display and format the card), I have not had any issues. Another thing about the card was I actually got a 1G card with my package and not the 512 as advertised so that may have had something to do with it to since every review I read with sd card issues was referring to the 512card that came with camera. All that aside, the camera has taken good pictures day and night. The daytime pics were very clear and I was actually getting picked up by the camera on a walk by test at 30 yards. The camera PIR sensor actually triggers the camera to come prior to you (animals) walking in to the field of view of the camera, so that ensures you don't miss the animal because the camera is awake and ready. The flip side of that coin is that the camera may be taking pictures and have nothing on them if the animal continues to walk around the periphery of the camera field of view, however I can live with that, so don't think that the camera missed all the animals when you see a bunch of pictures with nothing on them because this is probably the case. I found this out when I had about 12 pictures (in burst mode)(total of 45) at night with nothing on them and as I kept advancing the pictures the deer finally stepped into view and then walked back out again. The deer did this several times. Overall this camera has worked great...I would have given it a 5, but the strap it comes with needed to be a clip style adjustable strap instead of the pull through type, and the camera is only camo on the front so it still looks black/ stands out when approached from the side. One more thing....size... GREAT!!!! Fits in the palm of your hand!"

"This camera is so much better than Moultrie its not even funny. If you know how to read and follow the directions, then you have just found a great camera . The trigger speed is good, the video is good, the pic's are good. It does not have the moon phase, but it takes wonderful pic's (wide f.o.v. )and has the time and date.I bought 2 of the camo ones and put 2 GB cards in them after reading everything. I could not be happier,so glad I took the moul.... back this is like reconyx compared to the other ones for alot less $."

awesome trail cam,September 13, 2009
By batman4277from Dickinson, N.D.
"in my opinion this is the best trail cam ever. i have only used it for a few weeks and get large numbers of pictures of deer and raccoons. it takes excellent daytime and nighttime pictures and i am very impressed with the nighttime video, as well with the daytime video. the deer don't seem to spook at all. in fact many of them walk right up to the camera for a closer look. i have a few videos of 4x4 whitetail bucks in full velvet within inches of the trophy cam looking it over and not getting spooked. while i am in the tree stand hunting i turn it to video and even got the point of impact on video from a doe that i shot my first night in the treestand. i have already recommended this trail cam to a few friends. i will probably be buying another one or two more in the future. i am getting over 500 pics over a 4 day period and 60 plus videos in a single night"

bushnell has a winner,September 11, 2009
By TJtexasbuckfrom Fort Worth, tx
"My Setup: setup on a feeder that is in a small clearing about 100yds into the woods.
The Good: -Trigger speed. Good enough to setup on a game trail -Field of View. close to 180 degrees. -Battery Life. Not quite as good as advertised but over 2000 pics on one set of batteries. -Size. Fits in the palm of your hand, easy to move around. -IR Flash: at least the 45 feet advertised. No white outs. -Motion sensor. At least 90 feet.
The Bad: -Runs completely on the SD card. This means that if you remove the card to download the pics onto your laptop you have to completely re-setup the camera when you put the SD card back in including time, date etc. Setup only takes a minute or 2 but still a downside -You absolutley have to format the SD card everytime you put it back in the camera. This is very important.
Overall: I love this camera. As good if not better than cameras that cost $50 to $100 more. Read the instructions and you won't be disappointed."

Bushnell Camera,September 11, 2009
By Bonger76from Wisconsin
"Average camera so far. Trying to experiment with the sensor settings but the sensor seems to go to quick or not fast enough...not sure yet. Pictures at night are too bright in the middle and real dark on the sides of the photo. I liked the small size of the camera but my Moultrie seems to be a bit better at this point in everything but the size. Will continue to use and hopefully it works out but for now its just average."
