Good Product,November 18, 2009

"As I said in my review with the I-45, it worked great until it had one issue, but their techs quicly realized it was the camera port so I packaged the camera up and sent it back to them. I had my camera back up and working with a few days. Great service and quick shipping worked great for our hunting season. This product is well worth it and in my opinion looks to beat out the other products on the market. It takes a little time to get used to the operating and learn the advantages to it. A couple things to remember when using it is never use rechargeable batteries as the modem will drain them immediately(I tested that already), use a good duracell high performance battery and you will be happy with the results. Also if you invest in the power panel, you can plug that into the modem's own power port and it will charge the modem and the camera at the same time so your running constantly. That will help you keep the camera out for weeks in need to! The only thing I can say with the product is that I believe they will need to improve their plans for the amount of photos, but that will come with time as they have some new ideas for the next year(what they told me). As with any other data sent over modems similiar to this, quality depends on what resolution you sent it, but it's sometimes a little blury, but when you keep it on high you get a quality photo. I'm able to check it on my smartphone anywhere and comes up very clear for being just a photo sent over the network. This is definitely a product to try and in my sense worth the money in the LONG RUN."

Helpful tips,October 22, 2009

"I love being able to see my game from anywhere. I was dumb at first and didn't read the instructions. I called Moultrie and they walked me through the process. Then I felt stupid because everything was right there in the book.
I had a few problems at first. I accidentally left my modem in test mode. So it was dialing in constantly. Draining my batteries. I was freaked out when I checked my status and it said the camera had checked in and I didn't have any pictures. Apparently the modem check's in once every 24 hours, (or what ever you set it to), to give status, wether it has pictures or not. So that's OK.
Once I got it started it was awesome. It didn't work well in the deep valley where I originally wanted it to work. But I moved the camera and modem over a few feet and it works great.
Some tips they gave me: Do not use rechargable batteries. They do not have enough volts to power the camera and modem popperly.
Do not plug anything into the camera or modem except the Moultrie 12v Solar Power Panel. Anything else will fry the camera and modem and void the warranty. (No McGiver Battery rigs, or other 12V direct battery rigs). Plug the solar panel into the bottom of the camera and it powers both the camera and the modem. My batteries have lasted since I have done this, (app. 3 months now).
On the website the module battery was reading low. Moultrie said this was a problem with the code in the website, and they are working to correct that. She assured me that as long I am using a quality battery, they would last as long as the batteries in the camera.
They reccommend Duracell or Energizer batteris. Energizer E2 for the modem.
Basically read your book. Pay attention to your camera and everything will work great!!!"
