The Keen Summit County has all the makings of the ultimate winter boots. Toes are one of the first things to get cold in nasty weather. Keen uses 450-gram KEEN.WARM? insulation in the toe areas of their boots for extra warmth. The uppers are a combination of mesh and quality leather insulated with 300-gram KEEN.WARM. The outsoles are made of dual-climate, carbon, nonmarking rubber that reacts to cold by hardening to get a firm grip on packed snow. Moisture-wicking linings and air-exchanging qualities of the KEEN.DRY? proprietary membranes keep you dry. It lets vapor out without letting water in. Molded rubber Shellback? heel supports. Get in and out of the boots quickly with the speed-hook lacing systems. Fit tip: This boot tends to run about 1/2-size small. Imported. Order next size up if wearing with heavy socks.
