"This was my first cross bow. I was skeptical about buying a lower end [affordable] unit. Would it shoot consistently? Will it bring down deer? Could I shoot up to 40 yards? Would it hold up well?
My first shot at 20 yards was 3 inches high of the bull. Next 3 of 5 shots were in the bull. 40 yards was 8 inches low. I made the adjustment with the red dot scope and repeated the results. Groups were within 3 inches using a rest.
I took it hunting and missed twice. I had the range wrong. I got a tlescopic sight from Parker "red dot" that had graded markings. Cross hairs were at 20 yds. markings for 30, 40, and 50 yards were in the scope. This helped me greatly. I loved the red dot but this helped with range issues a lot better. The yellow clear lens cap is see through and helps in low light conditions. I took a nice buck from a stand. Plus 2 does. I love it! Do not see a neet for higher speeds or power at a lot more cost."

"I purchased this product after returning a Barnett Quad 400 because the string broke on the first shot. I was skeptical because of the relative low speed of this bow compared to others. The store had sold out everything except for the expensive crossbows, so this was the only one in this price range. The bow is light weight and looks very durable so I decided to give it a try. The life time warranty was also a factor in my decision.
When I shot it for the first time, I was very pleased. The bolt hit the target with plenty of punch. I have killed deer with less powerful compound bows over the years, so the speed is no longer a concern with me. The crossbow is so light that my 11 year old son can shoot it with no problem.
This appears to be a quality product that is made in the USA with a life time warranty! If you are looking for a crossbow in this price range, you can't go wrong with this one."

"I purchased this crossbow because I’m having shoulder problem that makes it difficult to shoot a bow. When I got it home all the arrows shot low and to the right but all the fletching were touching. After a couple of adjustments to the red dot scope and it is on the money and now never misses its mark. The same goes for the Thunderheads that are now on for the deer. I have a blunt tip that I use to discharge it after a hunt and it hits any small leave I’m aiming at 25 yards out! The trigger is smooth and it shoots without jumping. I know when that deer comes near my stand the harvest will be clean and fast! With all the features that this crossbow offers there’s no reason to break the bank on a more expensive crossbow."

"Bought this one from Cabelas in Hamburg, Pa. 1st one had a bushing break. Took it back, customer service was great. Got another one fresh from the box, shot it all works fabulous. Cabelas helped me with lots of questions. Single red dot scope is great for me. Nothing fancy & it shoots well to 25 yrds. The max for me. Any further, use a gun. Very nice piece for the price. Get one and look it over before buying or Cabelas will put one together out of box. just ask. I love this crossbow. light and easy to hold. Follow instructions in booklet for waxing etc. ask the cabelas people. Thanks Cabelas as always."
