"This is a very good gun.I would not recommend this for a beginner.I think you will get better results if you oil it every now and then.It is only a single-shot,but I think it's worth it.At first,it's hard to pump,but you should get used to it.MAKE SURE YOU TRY THE SHOTSHELLS!!!"

"I like the gun, I have many air guns both stock & Custom, I really enjoy shooting and have a good reference for quality air gun's and this is one. I purchased this gun to practice my shot gun shooting and for this it works good at close range, I already see my aim improving. As a rifle I am not impressed, not accurate at all but it is fast and hits hard. Overall I like the gun and would highly recommend as a shotgun but not as a rifle. Shot shells are pricey, about same cost as 12/gauge shot gun shells."

"Bought this gun to deal with Starlings which like to nest in my gutters during the Spring. Shoots a tight pattern at 10 yards, so should be easy to deal with the pests next year. Gun arrived well packaged and showed no sign that it had been refurbished. An unexpected bonus - Cabelas included 25 shot shells in the box as well as the pellet adapter. A very good value for the money. Another Cabelas winner!!!!"

"I recently purchased the refurbished Shadow Express and have found it is more than I expected. Iy came in like new condition and is a beautiful, powerful weapon. The shotshell are fun for lizards, bugs, and very small moving targets. I have used the pellet feature with this and have taken birds no problem. The gun is very accurate in spite of the smooth bore, but a diabolo pellet does require much spin to remain accurate at sub-sonic velocities. I have used 15grain Crossman hunters and have found them to be accurate and powerful as far as energy transfer in this air rifle. It is worth it."
