"I have a Savage bolt action in 17 HMR. This Hornady round can put the entire 5 round clip through the same ragged hole at 25 yards. It riddles a ballistic jelly prairie dog at 100 yards. The wood case is a nice decoration/storage box."

"You are buying the ammo at a little bit higher price than if you bought it without the box...you end up paying about $8 more for the box and and a few pennies more per 50 rd box of ammo...It's not a great deal if you don't need the box for $8

"I have been shooting my .17hmr for 4 years now. I have tried 3 different brands of ammo before this. I chose to switch to Hornady for two reasons. First the quality of the Hornady ammo is great, and second the consistency of accuracy. I made a change to Hornady ammo for all my rifles and pistols for these reasons. I highly recomend this product and the oak box is very nice, it will hold up to 400 rounds with room to spare."

"I was very pleased- package was shipped quickly and received in excellent condition. As stated before; it is packed with plenty of padding to include additional foam in the box. The oak box is very nice and will make a great keepsake with the "Hornaday" and "Cabelas" logos on the top and sides and will hold a total of eight boxes of ammunition with a little room left over.
The Hornady .17HMR Ammunition fires exceptionally in my Savage 93F. Thank you Cabelas."

"Product came packaged beautifully and undamaged. the oak boxes (I ordered two) are beautiful and have sliding tops. Great keepsakes for the future.
The ammunition fires flawlessly in my Henry. They even placed foam padding to keep the the four boxes of ammo from bouncing around so badly. Great attention to detail.
I am very well pleased."
