"These shoes arrived just as advertised. True to color and size, but a bit stiff and uncomfortable at first. They tend to chafe on the back of my foot, just above my ankle. I can only wear them for an hour or two, but I am sure they will break in nicely and be very comfortable eventually.
I don't recommend wearing these on wet days as these shoes do not have a full rubber sole, rather just small rubber pads."

"For overall visual appearance, this is one cool looking shoe. The only reason I did not give this shoe a 5 star rating, was because of a blister towards the top back of the left foot. Maybe I had the laces too tight. These are lighter then they look and the grip on the bottom is really as good as it gets. This is a casual dress shoe I use for work but I would not hesitate to go for a nice long hike in the woods with these babies. Now that these are broken in, my blister has healed and the comfort factor is off the scale and I've been avg. 60 hrs. a week. I would even go as far as saying these make my feet feel better then ever. The price is right and I'm even thinking about buying another pair for the future. If anyone would like to know, I'm 54 years old, 220 lbs."

"These chukkas are comfortable for short amounts of time. The padding on the collar of the boot leaves a little to be desired. Where the seam comes together, there is a hard spot that sits right on your achilles tendon. After about an hour, if you do much walking, that tendon will start hurting and a blister will form. Either the back of the boot needs to be raised or more padding put in place."

"These chukkas were great straight out of the box. I wasn't sure about the size but I must've got it right. They run a little large. I ordered a 9 1/2 but usually wear a 10 to 10 1/2. Haven't even had them a month yet and I ain't wearin anything but these. The bison leather is soft and there was no break in needed. H.S. Trask also offers lifetime repair that includes all parts of the shoe for $70. With the money I saved at Cabelas, I was able to purchase this . GREAT SHOE!!!"

"These are very well crafted shoes. I am partial to chukka style shoes since they don't seem to pull so much at my heel, a little more support. These shoes look great and they are not bulky, more like moccasins. I am small of build, so that's important. They did take some breaking in. The foot part was very comfortable from the start, but the upper collar part were a little stiff at first, causing some discomfort at the back of the achilles. All is well now after about a week of off-and-on wear. They are casual but I wear them some in an office environment. Time will tell how durable the unusual sole design will be, but they sure are nice right now. I had seen this brand before, but the price set me back for casual shoes, normally what I would pay for dress shoes. Cabela's put these great shoes within reach."
