"I received this product from my wife for Christmas 2009. I installed the product as they recommended. I even called the company to see where I should mount the transmitter and they told me it really wasn't made for a pickup truck. I have it installed but you can't see anything on the screen because it is all fuzzy and white. I would not recommend this product unless you have a vehicle where you could put the transmitter inside."

"i pull a trailer about 2 times a week and i wanted a camera to get closer to the ball without getting out of the truck. this camera mounts to the licens plate, and i wanted mine to be mobile. i decided to mount the transmitter to a peice of sheet metal that contoures to the shape of my tailgate in the up position, then i hooked the power wire from the camera to a four prong trailer connector. now all i have to do is lift the anteana, put the bracket on the tailgate, hook the camera power to the trailer four prong hook up and then turn on the lights (be sure to hook the red wire from camera to the running lights of the trailer hook up). the monitor can be a lil fuzzy but if you hold it in your hand you can move it around till you find a sweet spot. the only reason it got four stars is the distance from the camera/transmitter. i thought it should have a little more clear."

"The camera works as advertised. The view is a little small. I purchased this product to specifically use it to line up my trailor hitch with my trailor tongue. The license plate monting point did not allow the camera to aim down enough to see the hitch. I rigged the camera with a temporary attachment to my shell cover and got a perfect view of the hitch."

"Ipurchased the unit to put on the back of my trailer, so I could see my boat when towing both at once. The x-mitter is not strong enough to do this without extending the video cable. The manufacturer could not fill my need, I had to make my own. Operationaly the unit is great."
