Chosen by the FBI as their primary service round, the new Winchester® Supreme Elite Bond PDX1 handgun
ammunition is now available in 9mm, 40 Smith & Wesson, 45 automatic and .38 Special. Superior to competitive
personal protection loads, the Winchester Supreme Elite Bond PDX1 utilizes a proprietary bonding process that welds
the lead core and the copper jacket as one unit to control expansion and enhances retained weight. The bonding
process allows the bullet to penetrate tough barriers and enhance impact velocities and ranges. Six-segment jacket
notching facilitates controlled, incremental and desirable expansion at a variety of impact velocities. The copper alloy
jacket is engineered for optimal terminal effect over a wide range of velocities and ranges. Positive gun function and
smooth chambering and shell-case ejection are improved by the use of nickel-plated shell casings. 20 rounds per box.

Good Ammo Good Price,May 18, 2009
By KSS1from Colorado
"Nice to still find a good ammo at a good price. I'm tired of trying to track down ammo around town. This was nice and easy at my office desk. A few days later - - on the front porch. Can't beat that."

Works in a pre-war HiPower,May 11, 2009
By Anonymous
"Works in a pre-war HiPower. I did not fire many, but no problems. I got the 147 grain rounds since they are not +P. I have wanted stuff like this for quite some time but never found any that were not also +P and I am not sure it is safe to use +P in the Browning.
The specs look very good."

Quality Ammunition,March 31, 2009
By MFEagle928
"I have shot the Winchester PDX1 ammo in both 124gr 9mm+P and 130gr .38SPL+P. I have shot the 38SPL+P through a Smith & Wesson 686 and a Smith & Wesson 627. I have shot the 9mm+P through two Glock 19s and a Glock 26. Both calibers are very accurate, shooting tight groups at point of aim at 50 feet. (I have not attempted to shoot at distances farther than 50 feet.) Recoil is slightly more pronounced than with a 115gr 9mm bullet, but recoil is still very manageable. Indeed, I find the 124gr 9mm+P recoil to be very crisp, smooth, and consistent, allowing for rapid target reacquisition. Overall, a quality ammunition."

Winchester Bonded PDX1 - March 23, 2009,March 24, 2009
By Chyneefrom Wesley Chapel, FL
"A good addition to Winchester's line of ammunition. The 40 S&W, 180 grain shot accurately for me at 7, 10 and 20 yards out of my Beretta PX4 Storm. Although a couple of authors of magazine articles have commented about this line having stout recoil in comparison to alternative choices, I did not perceive any material difference in recoil and shooting this round was easily controlled."

Great self defence round,March 23, 2009
By Demontangfrom selah WA
"I just bought 60 rounds of 45acp PDX1 and shot a few to see how they work. I shot them it to some old shirts and the opened up and penetrated around 18" in to the box, I then tried them out on some wet wood and again the opened up and penetrated as much as my 44mag with 240gr gold dots. I have no doubt that they will do there job if ever called on."

.40 S&W, 180-grain,March 23, 2009
By DW859from Erlanger, KY
"I own Sig Sauer P226 and P239 handguns in .40 caliber. During research for selecting my carry ammunition, I found that the PDX1 180-grain, .40-caliber cartridge performed very well in standard FBI Handgun Ammunition Barrier Test protocols; giving excellent penetration and retaining 100% of the bullet's weight all but the toughest test protocol, autoglass penetration where 90% of the bullet's weight was retained.
When selecting your defensive ammunition, remember that adequate penetration (at least 12-inches) and permanent wound cavity are the primary factors [aside from shot placement] that reliably indicate the effectiveness of a particular cartridge to help terminate a lethal confrontation. By enhancing retained weight, bonded ammunition gives excellent penetration characteristics.
My personal testing shows that the 180-grain, .40-caliber exhibits mild to moderate recoil in my handguns - allowing for accurate double-tap shot placement in combat course shooting. On my 'personal' combat courses, I shoot at targets distanced from 5-feet to 50-feet. This ammunition shoots to point-of-aim in my handguns out to 50-feet."
