"I am using this with a Cabelas AGM battery. Operation is straightforward - select battery type and then the charge level. I always pick 15 amps - it will automatically lower the charge as needed.

Only complaint is that the fan runs non-stop. Not so bad as it reminds that it is on."

The best battery charger/jump assist ever owned, June 21, 2009

"This unit will tell if the battery won't take a charge as well as has a "recondition" mode which I has come in useful. It won't overcharge or cook the battery and theres 3-way amp charge selector. The 75amp battery jump assist has come in handy for riding lawn mowers as well as a 3/4 diesel truck that needed a nudge after dome light was left on for 2 days.

It's a teriffic product that has not let me down and this is year # 3 with it. Five Stars!"
