"I pack out for 7-9 days during the 3rd rifle season in Colorado wilderness every year with approximately 35 lbs. on my back. The Z-pad is great for those that want really light weight. At 13 oz. you can't beat it. Make sure your sleeping bag will keep you warm though. I use a Big Agnes SL1 tent which has a built in floor and I use the footprint. All of this combined with the Z-pad has proven to be sufficient insulation between my bag and the ground. I have slept in great comfort with the outside temps dropping down to -20 degrees at 10,000 feet. I usually replace it every two years, but at that price it is not a burden on the pocket!"
