Thermarest,June 22, 2009
By Cdubyafrom Colorado
"Product is as advertised. I was impressed with how light it was but it really does have insulation qualities, but the most impressive feature is its portability. For the money spent, this is a good product."

Awesome,June 8, 2009
By Farmtigerfrom Monroe, LA
"I bought this before going to Colorado last fall on an elk trip. We pack in several miles and my pad did not make the first trip in. I froze that night and the temps didn't get below 40. The next day I made sure to head out and get the rest of my stuff. That night is was below 35 and I slept like a baby. The last morning when we woke up it was 16 and it was like I was sleeping at home. I highly recommend this product. The only draw back is that it can be hard to pack. We use dry boxes so it's not that big of a deal for us but I could see where it could be to others that walk in several miles."

Good sleeping pad,April 29, 2008
By CoyoteSwampfrom Acra, NY
"Easy set up and comfortable. Wish there was a way to make them a little easier / smaller to roll-up but that’s the trade off from a blow up. Performs as expected."

Bulky but effective,March 9, 2008
By NKGRfrom Los Angeles
"Lightweight and comfortable, I took this sleeping pad backpacking and it worked well. My only complaint is that it is bulky and takes some creativity to attach it to the pack. Also, if you are on an overgrown trail you'll need to cover it to keep it from getting shredded by the protruding bushes."

The worst pant I have ever owned,February 22, 2008

"The fleece liner made these very hard to put on over anything other than bare skin. If you were wearing any thing and tried to put these on, it is a battle. Expected more."

Therm-a-Rest RidgeRest Sleeping Pad,October 5, 2007
By BlacksburgIndianfrom Blacksburg, Virginia
"This pad is thin but it does do a good job keeping you insulated from the cold ground. There is not alot of cushion from this pad but it is very light and will get the job done when traveling light. For base camp I would want a thicker pad."

By tonymontyfrom Former Marine living in Staten Island, NY OIF Vet.
"Having served in the Marine Corps this sleeping mat is more comfortable than the ones the Government issues. Also, it isn't too bulky and light weight enough so I don't even think about it being there untill I need to use it."

Therm-a rest,November 21, 2006

"Comfortable pad for underneath your sleeping bag (may be slippery for some bag types, but not to a fault). Good on rough terrain. Nothing to inflate so no air leaks! Durable, yet very light weight for high on your backpack."

A good night's sleep.,November 21, 2006
By given13from Kentucky
"I used this sleeping pad on a recent Colorado Elk archery hunt. We tent camped for 9 days and saw conditions in the mid 20's and had snow on 3 nights of trip. I used this pad on my cot and found it to be very comfortable, and it provided the extra insulation that I needed on the bottom side of my cot. The pad is very light and rolls up very compact. However, I would recommend purchasing one of ThermaRests 3/4 pads for spike camping/backpacking as every ounce and inch room counts in such conditions."
