Its lightweight, compact size helps cut down on excess pack weight. Its details are of top-notch quality from the nylon taffeta 1,000mm-rated waterproof fabric to the easy-to-use grommet setup system. Features plenty of visibility and ventilation thanks to large front and two rear windows. Rain fly and floor both have fully taped seams to completely seal out water. Front D-style door with flap allows for easy entry/exit. Interior gear loft adds storage space. Store wet gear outside the tent in the rain-fly-covered vestibule. Lightweight aluminum stakes included. YKK? zippers and two mesh utility pockets round out the features. Includes carry bag. Imported.

"Purchased this tent on-line for a new guy joining our backpacking group. Price, space and weight were primary considerations. Tent came in at the higher end of weight desired (esp. after adding the ground cloth) but was moderately priced. Tent poles were composite rather than aluminum, adding more than 3# to the 10# total.

Set-up was reasonably straightforward but tent was missing two ties (shown in instruction) to secure poles where front and rear poles crossed at side. After attaching front and rear poles center pole was too long to pass through the top sleeve of the tent (per the instructions) and secure to the floor without tearing. A call to the tent mfr. indicated the poles were longer than specification, but when new poles were ordered and received they were exactly the same as those shipped in the original package.

Design looks good, overall inside tent space was very nice and I liked the door design, but area under the fly was so small it was not usable except for possibly a pair of boots. In the end we did not take the tent into the field but instead opted for an extra Coleman belonging to another camper. Most likely will be returning the tent for a credit...not sure how to handle the return of the ground cloth since packaging for that was opened and discarded before deciding not to use the tent."
