"I have used these waders 6 times and my only complant is the fit. I'm 6ft 200lbs and the XL is just too short in the leg, I can hardly kneel in them. There is only a 1/2 inch difference in the inseem between Large and Xtra-large.. doesn't make sense to me. They need to offer longer inseem."

After seven tries I went to the best,September 6, 2009
By Nineweightfrom Boston, MA.
"Like everyone else I have gone thru seven or eight waders over a 15 years (or more ) period. I am not complaining, I got a lot of time in the water, both salt and fresh, streams and ponds. Finally I decided to go for the best, not knowing how good the best may be. These waders are hard to discribe, they are that good. Fit perfectly over my 6'1" and 195 pounds. THEY are QUIET! No sence in sounding like a one man band on my way to the stream. The booties have lots of room and fit like gloves, even over a size 13 foot. I am not kidding! I have never had so much comfort even on hot and humid days. Like I said, I can't say enough about the quality and performance. Features are great, especially the water tight pockets for you car keys or small camera right on the belly. A heck of a lot easier than getting your hand down your waders with your hands full when returning to the car."

Alaska float trip,September 1, 2009
By fcadafrom Colorado
"I used the waders on an 8 day float trip on an Alaskan river. I wore them about 8 hours each day. They were comfortable and dry. The shoulder straps fit well and do not seem to slip like other name brands I have used. I also used them in my float tube and they worked fine but I was only about knee deep. Good waders."

Could be better....,August 8, 2009
By joelapfrom Parker, CO
"Used them once. The seemed very durable and kept me dry. However, I'm a tall slender guy and they did not fit well. Even with the XL, I couldn't sit down in them to put my wading shoes on....the legs were too short and tight. The XL top seemed baggy with my slender build. I think these would be OK if they fit well....they need to offer these in an XLT."

So far, so good!,August 4, 2009
By SGflyfishfrom Washington
"I do a lot of stream fishing where I push through thorny underbrush, straddle logs, and generally do things you probably shouldn’t do with waders. I’ve used the Guidewear Pro Waders for several weeks now (3-4 times per week). So far, I haven’t had any leaks or problems. I’m impressed with the build quality. It's a great value for the money. The welded seams appear to be nicely finished and well placed in low-wear areas. The catalog description says the material is 4-layer, which I believe is true in the seat and crotch area. The legs feel like a heavier material (what other companies call 5-layer). Cabela’s should verify this. If true, this would be a good selling point. It would be nice to extend the heavier fabric into the seat.
A note about sizing: I am 5’7” @ 165lbs. The sizing chart makes it look like a size medium would be too baggy and long for me, but the medium fits me perfectly. The chart says a medium will fit a size 10 foot, but in reality size 9 appears to be the max (if you wear socks). Also, the chart says a medium will fit a 32.5” inseam, but again 31” is probably the max."

New Mexico Trip,July 14, 2009
By Miccccccfrom OKC
"These waders proved to work well on my trip to the NM mountains where I did put them to test fishing 4 different rivers and hiking a bunch. The waders kept me dry yet did breath well, and seemed very well made. I'm 6'2 225 and they did fit a little snug on the knee, however I like the sleek feel and design. Overall very rugged wader."

"I've owned these waders for approx. 1 month and have probably spent 18 days in them. I am 6 foot tall 175 lbs. with size 12 feet and went with the XL size. These things fit perfectly!! I have always bought the cheap waders in the past and would get leaks after the first five to ten trips. I looked at the more expensive brands and these are every bit as nice and in many ways better. The hand warmer pockets are nice and zip shut with water proof zippers, which I tested last night while falling during a wade.
The chest pocket holds two large fly boxes and the mesh pocket is good for holding libations on a hot day.
I'm pretty hard on waders and have already pounded these things through the brush, over rocks and in the pontoon boat. The construction is bomber, no real seams or places to leak. The feet seam to be 4mm thick and the articulation is great.
If the price scares you look at the more expensive brands. These are as good and less money plus you get the Cabala's guarantee!
The cheap waders are good for the occasional outing but I got tired of repairing them every other trip.
