"These are great, a little stiff right out of the box but a few days of wear and they fit like all-terrain gloves! I love the New Balance brand."

Jot as good at they used to be,April 20, 2009
By dannonebrfrom Nebraska
"I've been wearing the New Balance waterproof hiker shoes since 2000 starting with the 962. I liked that shoe and wore them hiking in Europe for a few weeks and a lot for my daily hour long walks in the states. Each newer version such as the 965 has less cushion an support and were less comfortable. The 1520 has less cushion is is less comfortable. I even placed foot pads in them, which helped slightly. The style is much better than the 965 (which I thought was pretty ugly) and I will try a Timberland product next time."

Trail shoes or hiking shoes?,April 8, 2009
By bubbastrfrom Dayton, OH
"I don't know how to classify these shoes, but they have been great to me so far. They felt solid on a couple trail runs through snow and mud in Colorado and Utah, and although the Vibram soles probably were not intended for long distance running, there is no question about their durability. For daily use of walking to the store, or the ski lodge, these shoes are fabulous. This is definitely not a complaint, but only after the shoes were delivered did I realize that the "N" logo on the side is actually part of the lacing system."
