"The extra coller is very easy to "marry" to the transmitter. Only complaint I have is having to buy the extra collar. For the cost, a collar could be included."

The Best,
July 28, 2009

"I own 5 of these recievers and work multiple dogs at one time. The G2 version had a tendancy for the loops that hold the straps to break. The G3 is improved and made of a harder material, I have not had the G3 loops break. The reciever is reliable, during hunting trips I have used them 6 hours a day for a week at a time with out needing to be re-charged. The flexability of marrying them to different transmitters or transmitter positions is a great benefit. After the warranty Tri-Tronics will replace a broken reciever for any reason for $60."

"I had adopted one boxer that had been trained on the system, and recently adopted another boxer. It didn't take long to get the new dog trained on the system, the only down fall is if they get out out of the house without the collars on they just ignore us. Our fault not the products fault..."

Very good collar,

"I am very pleased with the Tri-Tronics collars. This purchase was adding a second collar to my G3 Sport Upland (it handles three collars from the same controller). So far this has been an excellent collar (two years old). Good contact, battery life is exceptional and I haven't been out of reach (distance) of either dog. My deciding factor in Tri-Tronics is that it is MADE IN THE USA. I will always try to buy American when presented with two competitive models. I'm sure other brands work just as well, but this has USA on it.
Great product!"

"This was the third Tri-Tronics collar I have purchased over the past 6 years. These collars are excellent quality and the feature which allows the extra collars to work with your existing remote control devices is an added bonus. Variable stimulus settings adjust for any dog's temperament."

"I have 2 Labs on this collar using a single transmitter. I really only use it to enforce the COME command. The collar let's them run and play freely off of lead. I rarely need to use it, but I feel it keeps them safe more than anything."

Works great for hiking with dogs,
July 14, 2008
By Alaskadogs
from Anchorage, AK

"I bought the Sport Combo G3 with 2 extra EXP receivers to keep my 3 huskies close and deter them from chasing moose on hikes in Alaska. After a quick training session with the collar on a low level, I am mostly able to use only the tone warning and do not need the electric stimulation to make them come. They have learned to stay within sight, and check in on their own frequently. I have also used this system to reduce my malamute's aggression in the car when we drive by other dogs, and to keep my Siberian from running off to play with the neighbors' dogs.
It took me a while to adopt this method of training, but now that I have, with great success, I wish I had done it years ago. I think my dogs are just as happy, if not happier, as now they can go free safely more often. I imagine that I will always use the collars/transmitter, but perhaps one day this restraint will be part of their behavior.
The two extra receivers I ordered easily coupled with the transmitter, and the colored collars make the system very easy to use. The batteries last a long time between charges, and recharge very quickly. I'm really happy with it after 2 months of use."

Tri-Tonics Collar,
March 19, 2008
By StubbornDog
from Wisconsin
|
"I have a 4 year old dog that did not have any obedience training as far as I can tell before he was abandoned in the middle of winter so it has been a long process with getting him trained, just when I think he is doing well he shows me that he needs more work. I finally bought an eltronic collar to help with some of his obedience. It only takes a quick tap most times to get him to mind. Recently he jumped the fence and took off after some other dog tearing down the street and through yards. After giving him a tone with out any effect I then had to do a continuous signal which quickly brought him back to my side. This is the first time that he has returned to me. I know that we have a lot of work to do yet but with the Tri-Tonics collar it will be more productive. I also have a 10 month old lab who responds very well to the tone only, so taking both dogs out walking at the same time is now a possibility. The dogs get the tone even when around the corner and behind the garage, so they quickly know when it is time to come in. I would recommend this electronic collar to others if they have a hard to train dog."

The Way Things Should Be,
February 20, 2008

"I'm not a techical guy but I bought the TT EXP 500 last year to replace the collar I was using because I wanted a better range of stimulus and I knew I was getting a second pup. I bought the new collar but I was worried that I'd spend a whole evening getting it set-up. Well these are made the way things should be. A few lines of instruction and 60 seconds later the add on collor was up and running. Having a correction capability for both dogs at the same time is invaluable. Nice job by TT"
