"I am a rustic artist I tear down old wooden barns so I am rumbleing around in old buildings and these boots keep My ankles and feet and jeans from getting torn up by barb wire and nails and jagged boards they are very comfortable
I wear out side My jeans and have to adjust them every time I wear a differant pair of jeans so the laceing comeing off the speed hooks is not a big problem

I was rideing My MTN bike and was hit in the calf the accident bent My bike frame 10 inches off center MY Rockys protected My legs so they are now My faverite boots"

"The boots are ok. The zipper works well. The problem is the boots have hooks, not eyelets. The laces fall from the hooks when unzipped. This defeats the purpose of the zipper. I have and do wear the boots and will until they wear out. If the boots had eyelets, I would buy another pair and recommend them for anyone, but as long as they have hooks instead of eyelets, steer clear of these boots. I am a forester and wear this type boot all the time. Please consider the same boot with eyelets, not hooks."
