TomTaker Blind,October 30, 2009
By RRILESfrom Chatham Ontario Canada
"This blind was found to be noisy to set up and the velcro window screen is extremely noisy. Once set up, I found it to be roomy enough for one person. All in all, it's a great blind, especially for gun hunting. I find the set-up to be too noisy for bow hunting. The windows are secured with an elastic loop and button. This does little to keep the wind out of the blind. They are also difficult to use with cold hands."

needs some tweaking,September 3, 2009

"I just got this blind and set it up in the backyard to air it out before next weekends opener. It is smaller than I thought, having gone from another brand which was perfect for drawing a bow in without hitting the blind. For gun hunting it isn't a forseeable issue. After a few practice draws, it's doable, so long as you aim the bow up and draw back and then lower the bow into position. I'm 6'2" with a 29.5 draw length if anyone wants to compare to their own situation. The other thing is there are no brush loops to brush in your blind. Very disappointing in that, seems they could have sewn in some loops for minimal cost to Ameristep. Brush loops are critical and I'm not sure how I'm going to like the lack of them come hunting time. On the plus side, the fabric is very quiet, you can brush it and there is almost no sound. The juries out I guess, time to figure out a way to put some loops on this thing for brush. Good luck, shoot straight and hunt safe."

Ameristep TomTaker Blind,April 27, 2009

"This is my fifth and finally my last blind. This blind is ideal for one person and their gear. The windows give great visibility but the overall height and width of the entry door is a little small but is adequate. I would not recommend it for archery as I feel it is too small to come to full draw unless you are very short. It is easy to transport, setup, and take down. It is hassle free loading it back into the carrying bag. The carrying bag has very comfortable adjustable shoulder straps however it would be nice to have a connecting chest straps to keep them from separating or sliding off the shoulders. It has a solid hub construction, great camo pattern, with enough stakes and tie-downs for the real windy days. I highly recommend this blind for shotgun or rifle use. Buy one and you won’t be disappointed"

"This blind is as good as any I have seen, I have had about four in the last few year's and this is buy far the best I have had. Or as good as any of them, easy to set up and plenty of room for two men or one man with two young boy's.
