"Yesterday I fired off 150 rounds of .38 Special 130 grain MC (don't know why they call it Metal Case instead of FMJ like everyone else does).
Pro: every time the hammer fell it went bang without a flaw, but I've come to expect that from ammo, having never found a round of any brand that failed. What can I say, it fired like ammo is supposed to. In terms of performance it was fine -- worked as well as other brands I've tried.
Con: It did produce a lot of soot, which I gather is pretty common with a lot of brands. Magtech & Fiocchi are the only brands I've fired that produce pristine brass that's as clean as stuff that was never fired.
Remington cases are black & charred. Seemed to deposit quite a bit of carbon in the cylinder. And the "smokeless" powder was sending smoke signals from my gun.
When I got home I wiped down the gun a couple of oily wipes that ended up quite black."

"It shoots great and accurate and never a misfire.....typical Remington ammo. I was however a bit put off at how dirty this ammo is ,nasty black soot all over the chamber,throat,mag.well and muzzle,but hey it just wiped right off so no real crime commited."

"What can I say? Been through a few hundred rounds, no jams through new Glock 29. Steel cased so no re-loads. Living in CA it can be hard to find 10mm for a reasonable price, and at ~60 cents a round still not cheap.
But fun."

"I was pleased to be able to find ammunition for my 10mm Auto pistol that did not cost a buck a round, but still carries the quality Remington name. Be aware that the cases on these cartidges are metal and not brass. They are great for shooting and target practice, but you can't reload them. I'm a reloader and didn't read the description close enough. At any rate, they are quality cartidges at a good price. I'm glad I bought them."

"I have shot numerous boxes of this ammunition in 9mm, .380, and .38 Special and have not had one disappointment in it's performance. It's clean and shoots accurate. It seems to be the most readily available in .380 than other brands. I use this mostly for plinking and range training and find it very affordable and reliable. "When I first bought my Sig last year I started out with Remington ammo. Several times the gun failed to eject the spent shell. I switched to Winchester and went through 500-600 rounds and never had another problem. Part of me thought it might be the new gun with the first few shells going through. I tried the UMC again today. It didn't take long before I was having the same problem. The gun was clean going in. In 200 rounds it didn't eject the shell 20-25 times. In 500 or so rounds of the Winchester it never once failed. Remington must load the shells with slightly less gun powder than my 226 wants to cycle."

"This ammunition takes it's place alongside other brands as a reliable, economical way to prepare to whatever comes our way. This will never be cheaper than it is now, mark my words.
