"These hikers are indeed a very comfortable shoe. I'm on my feet 12-14hours a day from freezer temps. to unloading horsetrailers. And from the first day of wearing them to date they are trulely comfort to the feet. The only warning I have is that they will stretch out a little so order on the snug side."

"Light and comfortable with great support. The steel shank works well to protect your feet from rocks. I've worn these boots several times a week for the last 12 months while hunting in our local mountains and target shooting at the range, and my feet are never sore. These boots are pretty tough. Buying another pair for sure when these wear out. Good value for the money."

"I've owned several pairs of these boots over the years and have never been disappointed. They fit my feet perfectly right out of the box and NO break-in time! I got these in a week before I went backpacking in Telluride, CO and had no problems. If you're looking for some great lightweight hiking boots at a fantastic price, look no further. Very durable, too.
Waterproofing and breathability has always been fine but a word of advice; the gusseted tongue only goes to the top of the foot, not the top of the ankle. But hey, if you're in ankle deep water you're only an inch or two from going over the top of the boot anyway."

"This is my very 1st review; These shoes deserve it though. For much less than I was planning to pay, I got a good comfortable pair of shoes that seem to be well made. They're very light & feel almost like a pair of broken-in gymshoes. Good traction, dry, affordable. Can't really think of anything bad about them. "Great boot. This is my second pair. I wore down the tread on first ones, shopped all the comparable boots at every store around and ended up with the Altitude IV again. No leaks and no quality problems. Although I like the outsole, it's not as long lasting as some harder ones."
