S&W 500 Bullets,July 25, 2009

"I have 2 S&W 500's. One with the 5 inch barrel and the other with an 8 3/8. I used the long barrel one for hunting and the short one for conceal carry.
I was having problems with the long one getting a group tight enough for hunting at 100 yards and beyond. I tried every bullet I could get and never could get much better that a foot at 100 yds. I was getting ready to send it back to S&W for help.
On a whim, I decided to try these. Boy, was I surprised. All of my groups were less than 2 1/2 inches at 100 yards. The best was 1 1/2 inch. These are really good bullets. The expansion seems to be really good as well as the penetration. Highly recommend!!!!!"

"It's about time Hornady put this bullet out to the reloaders. The only downside is they have no load data for the .454, they say the bullet is to long to chamber."

Good Bullets for My Encore,June 15, 2009

"I got these bullets in 460 S&W (.452) for my Encore rifle. Work well for it. Can't judge them for a pistol. Only load data I can find is from Hornady web site. Supposedly am getting 2800 fps from my 20" rifle barrel. Really jumps, but what a wallop. I call this gun "Thumper." Shot two deer with it last year and they flat went down where they stood."
