Bad Choice of Magazine,October 20, 2009
By rob126
"This magazine is a piece of junk!! Never even shot any rounds with it. Loaded it first time, installed in gun, cycled receiver and it jammed. Tried several more times with same result. Unloaded magazine, which was very difficult, bullets kept jamming. Tried reloading magazine again, still had problems with it loading properly, and had hard time getting bullets out. Tried loading and unloading magazine with different brand of bullet with same results. Finally gave up trying to make this peice of junk magazine work, put it back in package, and will be returning it for refund. I've been fooling with guns since childhood and I am very comfortable about how they work. I would never recommend a sub-standard product like this. DO NOT BUY."

Good 50rd mags for the price,September 17, 2009
By destruxfrom Tamaqua, PA
"I was considering the other 50rd drum style mags out there for the 10/22, but they all cost $70+ and I've heard bad things about all of them. I saw these at the Cabelas retail store for such a good price and I decided to pick up two of them to see how they worked. Initially I couldn't even get them loaded, they were jamming up badly. Then I read the instructions (oops) and saw that they recommend certain brands of ammo (which happen to be the few brands that have highly polished casings). I picked up some of the recommended ammo and they worked much better, but still jammed a little bit. I took a few drops of pure silicone lube (designed for plastic gun parts) and lubed the follower inside the mag and it now works perfectly (it should be noted that Shooters Ridge doesn't recommend any lube, and if you lube them you may not be able to return the mags if you have any problems with them)."

Works good,July 14, 2009
By PowerNSfrom Tucson,AZ
"Works well overall. 2 side notes. First don't load it one by one (bullets get stuck) use the speed loader works like a champ. 2nd only fill these clips to 95-98% or they cause problems. Other then that they are way better then the Butler Creek garbage!"

Good plinker, but not the "magic magazine",June 18, 2009
By ChuDaddyfrom Athens, GA
"Does every 10/22 enthusiast look for a 100% reliable high-cap aftermarket mag? These are 85% reliable. Seems like high-quality ammo works better. (yes, i know, but the factory mags don't discriminate, except for remington golden bullets, whose coating forever jams rotary mags, but no others, as far as I can tell) As long as the case polish is high and bright, these mags work very well. Alas, for running bulk ammo through them! Usually one or two FTF in a 50 round mag with that bulk ammo. I have Eagle and Butler Creek mags as well, and these perform as well as or better than either. The double-stack design makes for a very compact 50-rounder, by the way. Same size as everybody else's 30-rounders. So I say, from fairly extensive experience, that these mags are as good as any other aftermarket mags. But if you need absolute 100% reliability (as in hunting or timed competition) you still gotta go with the clean, factory mags."

magazines,May 18, 2009
By poroskyrfrom oh
"The magazines I received were junk. The ammunition would not load (manually) without jamming or hanging up. It was a major effot just to manually eject the shells to empty the magazine. The Ram line mags are totally superior."

Junk--Magazine--Junk,May 15, 2009
By DaveIllinois
"I wasted my hard-earned money of this piece of junk. Right from the start it fails to feed. It doesn't fit tightly into rifle as described, either. I tried lubricating it with some graphite powder to no avail. It is junk! Buy a metal-lipped brand instead..."

"I have used this 50rd clip for some time now, and so far no problems. Fits in the gun tight, easy to insert, and remove. It takes a little time to hand load, but it's not difficult. It's a good product ."

Worst clip I have ever used in any gun EVER.,May 13, 2009
By Mattersplatterfrom Utah
"I was so excited to find 50 round magazines that I bought four of these. EVERY ONE OF THEM JAMMED EVERY TIME. I was only able to fire ONE round out of each clip before it jammed. We aren't talking about a little tiny tap-the-mag-and-it-is-fixed jam either. These were full-on evil-trapped-in-plastic jams. I tried loading these with the loaded made by the same company, I tried hand loading, I tried using 2 different types of ammo. Results? JAM, JAM, JAM, and JAM!!!!!!!!! This is one of the worst products I have ever used for anything ever. Even when I very carefully hand-loaded the ammo being very careful to make sure each rim seated to the rear of the clip it still jammed. So to sum things up....DON'T BUY THIS JUNK!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to go see if Cabela's will trade me for the metal lip magazines."

nice and compact,May 12, 2009
By huntnfishnutfrom Grant Co., Washington
"The 30 rd mag is nice and compact, easier to use with a bipod than a standard 25 rd single stack magazine. Does not like to feed the 60 gr Aguila SSS ammo, but I have found only the 10 rd factory mags to do so reliably. Will buy more!"

Not a Fan,May 6, 2009
By Executuioner338from Pocatello, ID
"I would not recommend this product to anyone. The magazine springs were extremely tight and made it difficult to get even the first bullet into this magazine. I loaded about 25 rounds into the magazine and had had enough so I tried to unload it. I got the first 5 rounds out and the rest were stuck in the mag. I returned it to Cabelas with the ammo still in the magazine because I could not get any of the remaining rounds out. The guy at the customer service desk said that he had taken a few of these mags back with the same problem.
Garbage . . . Don't waste your time and money."

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!,April 20, 2009
By Gfunkafro
"This has to be the worst product i have ever purchased. I didn't read the reviews but saw the rating! I was able to shoot one bullet out of it then it wouldn't even load the next. It a long time to load and even more time to take the bullets out of it. NOT WORTH THE PLASTIC IT IS MADE OUT OF!!!! I hope cabelas stops selling this product because it is so bad!"
