"WOW - I have been testing out the Berger hunting bullets on the range. In my 260 Remington groups have shrunk by almost half but until last week I had not had the opportunity to try them in the field. I got to harvest a large hog and the performance was incredible. Great bullet, easy to reload and does what it says!"

Berger VLD Bullets,September 8, 2009
By wrldhunterfrom Colorado
"Berger VLD bullets are the very best you can buy for long range applications. I use the 168 gr. VLD in .284 for my primary hunting rifle and have also shot them in 1000 yard competition. As mentioned, the longer ranges you shoot, the better these bullets perform. You will see a noticable reduction in compensation for drop and wind drift when using these bullets. As a hunting bullet they also perform very well. I have used these bullets on small game (coyotes) and large game (elk, caribou and deer) alike with the same results, excellent accuracy, massive wound channels and quick kills."

Accurate,August 4, 2009
By diverdown999from Texas
"Preformed as advertised. Looked into using these bullets after watching The Best of The West on The Outdoor Channel. Have shot them in a 7mm Mag., 30-06, and a 300 WSM. The farther you're shooting the better they perform."

Greatest Bullets ever Produced.,July 7, 2009
By Vintoriusfrom Wyoming
"I can not say enough about Berger Bullets. They have surpassed and out performed all other Bullets on the market in my mind. Before I found Berger I was shooting mainly Sierra for competitions and Nosler for hunting applications. The Berger Bullets outperform both, in accuracy and in kill power.
1000 yard matches with my Remington Mod 700, Hart Barrel, 1-9'' in 7mm Rem Magnum 180gr VLD bullets are constantly putting up under 5'' groups. under 3'' if I do my part 100 meters are achieving .025'' or less groups. Similar results in my .308 rigs using 168 gr VLD bullets.
These bullets deliver just as well for hunting applications. Deers are going down on the spot with the first shot. The wound cavities and the exit holes these VLD create are amazing. I also have switched over from my Nolser BT rounds to Berger Varmint Match bullets for my 22-250. I'm getting smaller groups(basically 1 hole at 100 meters) and these things can kill goundhogs out to 600 yards with ease. These bullets combine the kill power and the accuracy. These bullets will be the only thing I will be loading from now on, for all my weapons."
"Stumbling was a good thing, because I landed on Berger. The bullets and service (reload data) that these guys provide is phenominal. Before I started using their product, I e-mailed Mr. Walt Berger and within 1 day he returned my mail with all of the answers and information that was requested. I started reloading for my .264 Win Mag, had some accuracy issues, (2" 5 shot at 100yds) e-mailed Mr. Walt again and within a day had my answers that I had asked for. Now I have something, .5" to .75" groups at 100yds and 2" at 300yds. Did I mention that one shot kills on White tailed deer was the only result that I get? When you hear the thunder, turn the central nervous system switch off when the 130gr VLD strikes. Shots that I have taken ranged from 100 - 390 yds.
I have tried just about every bullet on the market and would have saved a lot of time and money if I would have tried Berger first.
Thanks for a good product"

"Very accurate bullet, though finicky in my rem 700 sendero 300 win mag. Once I worked up a load, .2 inch groups were the norm. Getting there was a chore havn't taken any game with them yet, i'll update this fall"

"I use Berger bullets for both hunting and target shooting. I've had excellent success with them in both applications. For hunting I've used .308 and .257 caliber VLD bullets on 4 pronghorn antelope and 3 whitetail deer with excellent performance from the bullets."

Outstanding on the range and in the field,December 19, 2008
By 7mmSTWHunterfrom Central Idaho
"I tried a number of bullets in my Ruger #1 in 7STW and stumbled upon Berger at a gun show the vendor was playing a video, "I shoot better with Berger". I just had to try them. My son and I hunt open country and share one rifle, in two seasons he has taken four deer and an elk I have taken four deer and two elk (all one shot kills some in excess of 300yds)with the 168 gr vld. I am amazed with the terminal performance and large exit holes. My son has a doe in the garage now that has an exit hole I can easily put my fist in, broad side at 175 yds right behind the shoulder. I would not like to see a shot placed through a shoulder as I think there would be massive meat loss. Great hunting bullets however all bullets have exited leaving few pieces of shrapnel, not sure if these bullets hold togeather or have a come apart, but they sure do the job! What difference does sticking togeather have to do with anything if the bullet exits the animal leaving a channel you could drive car through?"

Great Bullets,November 18, 2008
By ZIGhunterfrom Southern California
"Best bullets I've found for long range shooting/ hunting. Extreme terminal performance at ranges out to 800yd.. I'm using the 140gr. VLDs and 168VLDs in my 7mm RM(1-10" twist), 95& 105VLDs in my .243 Win. (1-9 1/8" twist), also 155VLDs and 168VLDs in my .308 Win. (1-10" twist). I now shoot nothing else for target practice and hunting. Also Berger has excellent support if you have questions about loading their bullets and ballistics."

"I load these for my .308 Palma. Superb accuracy, I consistently group them in the 0.200-0.300" range, occasionally in the 0.100's if I do my part. Extremely effective on whitetails too!"

Berger Bullets,October 27, 2008
By DaveMacfrom Shoreline, Washington
"If your willing to experiment with different loads and seating depths these bullets are tack drivers. I worked up a load that put 5 shots in a half inch at 100 yards! They claim to be deadly on big game but as of yet I can't confirm that. If your rifle has less than a 1 in 13 twist don't try them."

Berger 52gr Match Varmint,October 27, 2008
By WIwhitetailchaserfrom Minong, WI
"Can't go wrong with Berger Bullets accuracy. Still working on a ragged hole load at 100yrds out of .22-250 Rem 700 VSSF II with a Nightforce 5.5-22x50mm. So far I've consistantly got 1/2" groups or less at 100 with the 52gr Match Varmint bullet sitting in front of 34gr of Varget 2.350 OAL. Would've given 'em 5 stars but I've only seen 'em on paper, don't know what happens in the field on coyote. Also shot 55gr Match Grade in front of 35gr or so varget, very good results out to 400yrds. Again, only seen 'em on paper."
