best bang for the buck,September 26, 2009

"most reviews have already said it, WOW what a unit for the price. mounted it on a 16 ft. bayliner capri. not many places to secure it. so i mounted it directly infront of the steering wheel, between the tach and the speedo. still cvan view the boat equipment, and see the GPS/ sonar many persons had repoerted issues with recieving satellites if mounted under the wind shield. not in this case. i get 4 to 7 on the puget sound. I work on Tugs ion the puget sound ands the hundereds of thousands of dallors worth of GPS gear does no better than this unit. very easy to use and easy to setup."

Best bang for the buck,September 23, 2009
By Codfishheadfrom Middlebury, CT
"The Cuda 350 W/GPS is a GREAT value. You will not find a better unit for under 200 dollars. I’ve had mine for 3.5yrs and fish all yr round here in CT. Flawless performance through it’s life span so far. I bent and then finally broke the transducer mount beaching the boat when doing water sports. I mounted the same transducer in hull and it works great. I can track bottom doing 40mph now. Fish Finder picks up good detail. I mark small bait down on the bottom in 50 feet of water. Can’t tell you how many people I have helped to get back to the ramps in heavy fog. Not to mention get right back on those small Fluke drifts and hot Striper holding humps. I will never go out in questionable weather without GPS. It can be a life saver. You can not find a fish finder with GPS that compares to the Cuda for the cost. Only down side is there is no charts for depth. I bought the Cuda to put on my new boat with thoughts of upgrading in a couple years. After owning this great little unit I see no need to spend money on another Fish Finder. I highly recommend the Cuda 350 W/GPS .
Jay"

Much improved,September 10, 2009
By Goodunitfrom Lake Erie, Ohio
"I am very pleased with the fish finding. When schools of perch were shown I caught double headers. The gps is only fair. It gives position and compass readings well. The map part I found hard to use. It meets my needs well."

user friendly,June 30, 2009
By wetalinefrom Northeast Indiana
"I recently purchased this fine product and have used it several times. Before this I only had a handheld fish finder that only showed you a fish symbol with no size distinquishment, and the depth to the bottom. It is a big advantage to be able to see the structure and bottom features. You can even see the weedline variation from the marl or sandy bottom. I also like the option of seeing the true sonar echoes of the fish arches or a fish symbol with depth displayed ( depth fish is at)
So yes, I am very much a novice with fishfinders, but the unit was very easy to install. It took longer to figure where I was going to route the line from the transducer than it did to install it. So far I haven't used the gps much but know it will come in handy for marking spots, and finding my way back from coves and inlets etc. I especially like the little explanation box that pops up when you put the cursor over an item telling you what the particular function is and how it will effect the display. It is a very user friendly unit and I have no regrets at all in buying it."

Eagle Cuda® 350 S/Map Sonar/GPS Fish Finder,March 23, 2009
By Bucktailedfrom Greeneville, TN
"If you are like me and would rather spend your money on fishing lures instead of electronics, this is the right GPS unit. The map is not as detailed as the more expensive GPS software but it is definetly enough to see where you are going and were you went. The only complaint that I have, and it really is not that big of a deal, is that the Overlay data does not overlay on the map. It will when you have the split screen up but not just the map, and when you are in split screen you can not see your speed because it is hidden behind the map's company name that displays in the upper left hand corner of the map. However, it is easy to switch back to sonar to see your speed and then right back to the map. The sonar works great and the transducer is fast enough to keep up when onplane. The screen is just as small as it looks in the advertising but it will fool you...I thought I would have trouble seeing it but that is not the case. Everything is very clear and very visual friendly. Hands down you can not beat this unit for the price. It is all internal, there is no more to do for installation than connect power, install transducer and mounting bracket (3 screws). A caveman could install and operate this unit!"

The difference between the Cuda 250 and 350,January 25, 2009
By EightiesPikefrom Indianapolis, Indiana
""Some of you buyers might want to know what the difference between the Cuda 250 and 350 are. I wrote Eagle Electronics and this is what they sent me in a email.
"The Cuda 350 is new for 2009 and we have added FishTrack, which is not available in the Cuda 250 model. When using Advanced Fish I.D., and with FishTrack on, the digital depth is displayed directly above each fish symbol. Many anglers find FishTrack helpful in making quick and precise lure presentations to the correct depths."
So for the same price you can have a newer updated 350.""
