Two upper vertical pockets are specially designed to accommodate binoculars and calls. The parkas also have two internal pockets, adjustable elastic cuffs, waist and lower drawstring. "WOW!!!! This equipment is the best I have ever had. Ive have had expensive browning and Rocky gear before and it doesnt even hold a candle to this gear. "These run 1 size small. The only other complaint is the arms are thin (small in diamter) so that when you add a fleece under, the arms get tight and mobility is restricted.
Other than that, this is the best parka I have ever had.
I have been having lots of sizing issues with Cabelas with things running small vs their sizing standards, they need to work on this issue it has cost me a lot in return shipping.
I'm an only 5"10 155 lbs, so I'm not a big guy....I needed an XL in this jacket if that helps anyone."

"I actually received this product right after deer season ended so I haven't had a chance to give it a proper go. The fit is outstanding and all of the pockets are a huge plus. Not to mention that the pockets are in all the right places. The only thing they could have done to make the pockets better was to add a microfleece lining to the side pockets.
I tried the jacket on and went out to watch my kids ride their new bikes that they got for Christmas. The temp was around 20 degrees and breezy. All I had on was a t-shirt and sweatshirt underneath of the jacket.
I stayed warm and the jacket wasn't noisy like so many jackets are in cold weather. I normally don't like wearing hoods, but the hood on this jacket stays out of your line of sight which is awesome.
The real test is going to be really wet conditions. Too many jackets that I've had don't withstand wet weather. I can't wait to try it out during late deer season next year!!"

"Great coat, very warm. Do a lot of whitetail hunting in northern indiana where weather can be rough. Hunted in 25 below windchill last day of black powder season and stayed warm and was not effected by the wind. Would recommend to anyone that hunts in severe elements(rain, snow, and very cold temps)"

"This parka was a much contemplated purches, and obviously the parka won.
I have called deer in close but I get busted almost allways because being 6'7"tall and 300lbs makes it tough to hide.
Igot one the first time I was wearing the parka out, and called one in 12 yards from my friend he was more surprized then the deer and took to long to get the shot off. I have never seen deer come in this close"

"This is quality built, with many usable pockets. But that's where it stops. I saw the story of Mike Riddle, he said he sat on stand in neg degree temps and never got cold. BULL! This Nov. 8., I sat six and a half hrs. and frooze in thirty degrees and twenty mile an hr winds. I wore top of the line powerstretch fleece and tpoe of the line J.C. woolunderware and a layer of heaver fleece. This product is over priced! One of your cataloges says it is windproof. NO!"

"Here in Maine we experience cold wet weather during our whitetail season. The Cabela's White Tail Extreme parka that I purchased this year performed flawlessly throughout the season keeping me warm and dry. "Upwind, yet Not Busted! Folks, my review title says it all. My first morning out deer hunting I was setting up on a levee with a 25 mph wind at my back in 28 degree weather. Thought I was busted, even with the Scent-Lok. The tail wind was unexpected, never died down, so it took me 20 minutes to decide to move to a better location. When I started to move my gear, I almost stepped on a monster buck not 15 yards downwind from where I'd initially set up. Needless to say, the big one got away! Though I didn't believe it could, my Gore-Tex MT050 Whitetail Extreme Scent-Lok Parka had worked to perfection. I was Warm, Dry, and Scentless. If I had only been a believer, that monster would be hanging on my wall. Folks, this product is a Winner."

Most Impressive on the Hunt,November 21, 2006

"This parka was a joy to wear on my elk hunt in the Rocky Mountains of northwestern Colorado. I was sincerely impressed with how light and comfortable it was on the long hikes into and out of our snowy hunting area each day. The MT050 material didn't hang up on low-hanging branches or the scrub sagebrush. I was kept dry and warm while posted in my spot. It has great pockets for carrying gear and energy bars. It was worth every penny."
